yes, but then you also need his IO board which puts the price up a lot - if it's going into a cab it doesn't need to look pretty!Newsdee wrote:I notice there is also this, which is pretty much what you are after:

Re: MiSTerJamma Board
I've also been thinking along similar lines and have a couple of comments on what I see so far IO board is meant to give 0-0.7v p2p into 75 ohm for VGA output, arcade expects 0-5v so you need to add one of the many available VGA-Arcade amplifier circuits to the RGB output. Sample size in mra files
Some mra files now include samples, and because of the way that they are combined they can be very large. Should these be split into multiple <part> blocks to keep the size down (in which case, what size maximum), or can they just be stuck as one chunk - for one I am doing at the moment, sample size...

Re: Random error on Gorf
It has different video system (16 colour) and rom banking - which are all possible given the time and the inclination, but other things in my todo list before that happens.
The code is on github should anyone else wish to add support for these things.

Re: Random error on Gorf
Now fixed and works with unpatched roms.
Still working through a few bits (remove debug code, flicker on HDMI, stereo and controls) and should be able to do a new release shortly.

Back to the original problem, I now know what the root cause is, and can patch around it (certainly for attract mode - need to investigate a little more to see if patching causes any problems in game)

Re: Random error on Gorf
jittering is mentioned in the read.me - stick on HQ2 mode, that makes it look better on HDMI
tell me a core that works fine with your joystick and I will have a look to see if I use the same buttons or not.

Grab the latest mra file for Robby Roto - seems I left the service switch setting out of that one, and you must have it set 'On'

Re: Random error on Gorf
There is already Astrocade core for MiSTer: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Astrocade_MiSTer What's difference? The home console has an arcade board built around it - uses the same custom chipset, but the arcade version has additional hardware which I have added to the original Astrocade core so th...

Re: Random error on Gorf
check the dip switches on each game - that is the wizard upside down at least, also check that service mode is off on everything. also on one of them, don't select Foreign, as that needs an extra rom which isn't present in that set of roms sounds like I have the defaults in the mra files incorrectly...

Re: Random error on Gorf
I'm just trying to get the code into a clean enough state to release - Gorf still doesn't work, but other games look OK on older cores - for some reason I only get debug info and stars on the newer cores (after 2nd Feb) once that has been sorted I will stick it in github fixed the video problem - wa...

Random error on Gorf
I've been adding the necessary hardware that exists on the arcade version of Astrocade to the code for the home console. I still need to add some controls, but basically have 5 games running on it. * Extra bases, Seawolf II, Space Zap, Wizard of Wor and Robby Roto all look to be working as expected,...

Re: Newbie with FPGA and MiSTer dev question
Is there a way to output anything from the core to be output by the framework - i.e. debug messages how you imagine it? I would guess as a buffer that you can pass back to the linux system, maybe a byte sized array of 32 to 64 elements, and from the linux end, if it changes then it outputs it to th...

Re: Valuation - Falcon 030
Not sure of current value, hence asking for valuation here first. I can find websites selling them (with 14Mb ram) for £1500, there is one on ebay UK (with box) currently at £2000, last one I can see that sold on here with similar spec was 900 euro. PM me with offer, once I know what it is worth it ...

Valuation - Falcon 030
What is the value of a falcon 030 with 4mb ram, 60Mb hard disk, TOS 4.01, comes with VGA adapter.
all seems to work OK, boots up, reads floppies etc.
mouse looks same as ST one, not sure if it is meant to be different.
no box, in Norfolk in the UK and would rather not post.
Thanks
