Re: I/O Board
Sorgelig , what's the difference between IO Boards 5.5 and 5.5XL? It's just longer with two more mounting holes? Yes, the XL covers the whole size of the de10 nano and can be mounted using the 4 screws. As it's bigger than the maximum size the Chinese PCB manufactures gives discount for, it increas...

Re: If you want to donate to MiSTer project.
Donated more GBP 20.00 from sold sdram boards. Keep your good work. Thanks.
Re: SNES core
Think I figured it out. DOH! You need to update the mister.ini with the new config options when you go to MiSTer_20181221 or you get black screen on some cores. Having vscale_mode declared in the ini is probably important. :) Nope. If you don't have that option then you just get it as if vscale_mod...

Hi Sorgelig,
Just made a donation of £20 from the SDRAM boards I've sold recently.
Keep the good work and have a merry Christmas.

Re: I/O Board
I've bought most connectors in local retail store, so i don't know the P/N of then. According to outlook, this connector is the same as i'm using. I believe it also has opening on the back like mine. Mine has no plastic at the whole back. Hi Paulo, I'm using this one LCSC . It's open on the backsid...
Re: I/O Board
Hi All, Can anyone confirm if the SJ1-3523N phone jack 3.5mm recommended for the IO Board v5.2 is suitable for the v5.5? In the datasheet or the 3D model there's no mention of the required hole for the LED light to pass through, so my guess is it doesn't work (unless you drill your own hole). Does a...

Re: Core contributions to MiSTer
OK so it seems that improving instruction fetch times would bring the most immediate benefit. So I think I'll first start looking to implement a small Level 1 instruction cache using some Memory Blocks in the FPGA (if any available). If I get it right it should improve the performance on fetching m...

Re: Core contributions to MiSTer
IPF support - a lot of work with little gain. Most games are already de-protected. It's not a platform where new games are developed. So, there is no much reason to do it. Well, unless you have a lot of free time and just want to add it anyway. Even in Amiga core there are many other things to impr...

Re: Core contributions to MiSTer
EDITED - Applied suggestions from Sorgelig and Alexh I'm looking for working towards the following goals in my free time, in this particular order. Amiga: - IPF image support. IPF contains all the copy protection data and would allow unmodified games to run. ao486 - Improve CPU performance. Review ...

Core contributions to MiSTer
I couldn't find any similar topic so I decided to create one. The idea of this topic is for everyone who's interested in contributing with core development/porting/improvement to post their intentions to avoid multiple people working towards similar goals without coordination. Feedbacks from non dev...

Re: If you want to donate to MiSTer project.
Hi Sorgelig, I've made donation using part of the money I've made selling some SDRAM boards. I intend to keep this frequent. Think of those as an informal royalties payment for all your effort and money put into designing and prototyping the expansion boards, and an incentive for you to keep doing t...

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
Hi MatAtari, I'm really sorry you had this bad experience. I hope it doesn't drive you away from the MiSTer project. Always look for the forum before buying your boards. Guys like cvenditti, THaase and ch570512 are producing and selling boat boards for a while and they're very trusted the by communi...

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
Hi all, I have a few SDRAM XS v1.1 boards available for selling. All the boards passed the memory test at 167 MHz with no errors. Tests were run for at least 30 minutes in each board. The boards can be purchased at ebay only, for 20 GBP: https://ebay.us/m97RZo Shipping: UK: 1st class not tracked - F...

Thanks. That will make my life easier and the boards cheaper. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the deliveries and start assembling.Sorgelig wrote:You can find a lot of old devices selling through eBay. Those ancient devices are definitely with lead. No one prohibit to sell it.

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards
I've just joined this fine community and I'd like to thank Sorgelig for all the effort he put in this project. I was looking for the DE10-Nano for quite some time and thinking of porting some cores myself to this great (and low-budget) board. I was quite excited when I learned about MiSTer. Sorgelig...
