Re: Odd STe behavior. 1084S TOS is stable, otherwise rolling screen.

Some interesting reading in this Atariage forum thread which might be relevant, as it deals with certain 1084s-D's with sync problems with Atari ST's:

Re: Odd STe behavior. 1084S TOS is stable, otherwise rolling screen.

So my understanding has been that the SC1435 and the C= 1084S-D1 are basically identical screens. That would be wrong. The 1084S-D1 is a Daewoo monitor the SC1435 is a Philips monitor. You are thinking of the 1084S-P1, which is indeed Philips monitor. I don't think that this is the cause of your pr...

Re: CosmosEX 3.0

It's the summer holidays time of the year, and these guys do this in their spare time, so realistically I don't expect any update until at least a week or two into September.

Re: Modern multisync monitors?

Different suppliers I've read. I tried to find out whether mine is a U2410F or U2410, but it doesn't say anywhere. Monitors usually have a sticker somewhere with the details but I wasn't able to find one on mine. Maybe somebody removed it, I don't know. There is a small plastic card on the left sid...

Re: Help identify the mods on this MEGA

It looks like a memory expansion has been fitted.
Also, looks like a 1.44 Mb floppy mod.

No ROM, processor or shifter.

The note says something like:
DMA capable.
No additional circuit
(followed by something illegible, perhaps ist=is/was)
tested with additional circuit on 17-06-98

Re: Atari 1040 STf Monitor alternatives?

You can use any television or old CRT monitor with RGB / SCART connection for low and medium resolution.
You can use almost any VGA monitor for high resolution.

You can some VGA monitors with all resolutions. Use google or the search function of the forum.

Re: CosmosEX 3.0

Lotharek's ACSI cable is now included per the website.
I have pre-ordered one, I came back to the ST not long ago and missed this one the first time around.

Re: How much RAM in your Atari ST?

After 25 years I got a ST again this weekend. It is a Mega 1 with a surprising 3 MB.
So I can't vote
