Re: Arcade cores

I am happy for people to test it. It does have a couple of bad problems right now. Working on it. I never realized how complex this core would get. Amazing how that happens, isn't it? Space Invaders has been rewritten to run on all sorts of processors but the original arcade machine is not trivial....

Re: Mac Plus help?

Basilisk patches a bunch of traps and installs drivers to get almost all the features working. I would like to keep my days of writing 68k software behind me. I am thinking if we can get fetch working it might be the best solution. Because it expects to connect to a Unix server. It will try to do t...

Re: Mac Plus help?

Thanks for the (involuntary) hint: I downloaded the image from the link provided in the core readme http://www.savagetaylor.com/2018/05/28/setting-up-your-vintage-classic-68k-macintosh-creating-your-own-boot-able-disk-image/ There is no CD image there so I went to http://www.savagetaylor.com/downlo...

Re: Mac Plus help?

BasiliskII setup is easy provided you have the right stuff: You will also need some sort of OS Image: For example: "OS_755_650MBCD.ZIP" from that previous link --> http://www.savagetaylor.com/2018/05/28/setting-up-your-vintage-classic-68k-macintosh-creating-your-own-boot-able-disk-image/ What's the...

Re: Arcade Cores not loading

Hi, I have a problem, today I have downloaded the folder "_Arcade" from VIP FTP and I copied it to my Mister SD Card. The problem is that all the cores I have tried ended not loading and giving an error of missing file. For example, Xevious is missing 54xx.bin. Looking to the mra file: <misterromde...

Re: Arcade cores

Alan, did you by chance do the mw8080bw MiSTer port? I'd like to see the "Lupin III" game represented, but I hadn't checked to see the current status of that. I have the original Lupin III PCB, which is a rare bird in deed. It too is in need of repair currently. Just thought I'd ask. I am working o...

I need sounds for 280zzap and laguna raver. They are similar games. Let me know if you can find good quality wav files. I only heard the sound on one YouTube clip. I have access to an original 280ZZAP cabinet, as a direct friend of mine owns it. I am unsure of the condition, but I know it's complet...

Re: Arcade cores

I just remembered this old racing game that doesn't use a CPU: Monaco GP, by Sega, from 1979. Turns out somebody has been working on an FPGA version a couple of years ago: How cool would it be to have this ported to the MiSTer, it would be perfect for it. Link to the code? I don't think the author ...

Re: Arcade cores

I'm getting solid colored blocks instead of sprites in Bally Midway games like Rampage, Discs of Tron and Journey. I'm using the correct ROM files.
