Re: Questions about MaxYMiser

This isn't really a question, but I thought it'd be interesting to share here. I'm working on a cover of a pop song that has two voices for most of it. Of course, I could simply have both voices in separate channels, but that seems like a waste, doesn't it? Depends on how important those voices are...

Re: My chiptunes

I'd already heard it (it's great!), but it was cool to check it out in MaxYMiser, thanks. :D That snare is interesting indeed... also, I think this might be the first time that I've heard a buzzer used for the melodic lead. A very unique sound, although I'm not sure if I'd want to try to do the sam...

Digidrums altering YM registers

Hello, As a way to learn and practice assembly, I'm trying to code visualizers for my sndh's and I consistently come across digidrums (YM digidrums that is, no DMA) seemingly altering randomly YM registers. For instance in this clip I'm playing a digidrum on channel C but all registers seem to get m...

They have special information on disk geometry etc.
Thx!

What's in the header of an executable?

Hi,

Could anyone point me to a description of an executable header? Trying to figure out if the code in a bootsector has the 32 bytes header as well.

Thx!

Hi, This bootsector installer has several occurrences, with different authors :/ https://github.com/ggnkua/Atari_ST_Sources/blob/b82a0ef2c38054a7e36f4a83a570315a028cc3fe/ASM/Adrenalin%20U.K/ADR_BOOT.1_1/INSTALL.S https://github.com/ggnkua/Atari_ST_Sources/blob/b82a0ef2c38054a7e36f4a83a570315a028cc3f...

Re: Recording audio

I used to plug the STE outs to my mixer, whose master went to my soundcard but the PC that has the soundcard (PCI, not USB) just died, I only have a poo laptop left with no proper audio in, and I'm getting bad results with the Zoom H1. Maybe some day I can try hooking up the STE to the mixer, and th...

Re: Recording audio

I'm getting an awful lot of distortion, I will try with my 520 STF and the monitor output but I don't think I'll be able to record something clean. Edit: can't get Jam to load the SND on the 520 (3 bombs if I counted correctly). Does anyone know what the DSP and CPU versions of Jam are? Should I be ...

Hey YQN, Finally checked this out - a nice little dissolve effect! thx! i tried to make something nice with my limited set of skills :) The implementation you are using does feel quite convoluted though. If your music isn't too timer intensive (HA!- I bet it is ;) ) then I would be tempted to do th...
