Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Kolla - what are using for your Amiga experience? I remember some years back you and Sorgelig were discussing Keyrah and Arduino based keyboard adapters to use real Amiga keyboards.
I contacted Sorgelig but he does not seem to still have the Arduino sketch he used for his adapter.

Thanks for the update.
I think Castlevania is the big CD ROM release for the system.

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

@robinsonb5 - thanks for that. Street Fighter 2 - I had that running for a quick 5min test and it seems ok, along with The Punisher. The instructions on jotego's Github : mra ghouls.mra -z rompath -A did not produce the .ARC but then there is a ZIP of ARC files for some ROMS and then there are .MRA'...

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Sorry I am going to have to call for help setting this up  . There is mention of .arc files but I don't get those generated. I am not sure if the notes are out-of-date? So baby steps ;) if we cover all the systems (is CPS2 working?) with: 1. CPS0 - Black Tiger 2. CPS1 - Ghouls and Ghosts 3. CP...

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

@DanyPPC sorry I have not tested anything yet, I was expecting a testing list to be made.
Please tell me which Core to test and I will try. My MiST might be same as yours.
Thanks

Re: Amstrad CPC 6128/664 (NEW)

Actual hardware does not have a reset. Although there is a RESET line on the expansion port as I have wired in a push button to the back of mine. Never liked the 80s design (cost cutting and guaranteed way of ensuring memory is clear I guess) of having to power cycle. Ok at the time but feels a bit ...

Re: Amstrad CPC 6128/664 (NEW)

I am pretty sure that Pinball Dreams only works on one CRTC, where in reality it works on at least 0 and 1 real hardware. I cant remember if I tested it with a CRTC 2 chip. Just a note if you did not know, there are some demos which only work on certain CRTC versions. That was my justification for o...

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Hi.
I can also help.
My MiST is v1.2 and has 'pickey' RAM as it started off the Archie, MSX and Sam Coupe timing mods which allowed the Cores to improve their compatibility across different RAM chips used across MiST boards.

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

RTG is quite tricky, I have tried over the years on WinUAE and never managed it.

Try looking at this video but use the MiST RTG .adf
https://youtu.be/Xq6Bctyg87o
I don't think it's the actual video I used, but the instructions are 95% the same.

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

I am not sure of File System of the .hdf which is now causing problems (can I read that ? WinUAE?) I did not get a Guru. It just would not boot, stays at Kickstart screen. I am using kickstart 3.1.4 The .hdf will probably be 4gb. But I could probably delete all the WHDload content and it will ZIP sm...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Sorry looks like something has broken with the Firmware (test firmware and firmware_201122.upg ): I have a 'MegaAGS.HDF' image (taken from MiSTer FTP site) that now won't boot. I have it running now on WinUAE off my SDcard so the .hdf is ok. I re-installed firmware_201006.upg and the MegaAGS.HDF wor...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Hi.

Any news when a new Core will come out with corrected Audio Channels?
I can't think of what new treats might be added to this Core in the future.
We have had accuracy improvements, a big speed increases and RTG. A good year for Minimig.

Thanks

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Will be easy to test with HDMI connection as no chance to wire in speakers wrong :)
SWIV is perfect game to use as sound is very obvious left or right when you move to that side.
I will try and test later.

UPDATE: MiSTer seems fine. I checked with the game SWIV.

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Ha ha. This is interesting. Years ago I made my own MiST SCART cable. Recently I was playing SWIV and there is huge sound separation on that game. All you need to do is fly to the left side of screen and there will be sound on the left. Anyway the sound was wrong way around so I swapped the audio pi...

Re: Deal for core TRS-80 Color Computer 3 on MiST / Mistica FPGA16

Roger had been moving or something so there was a period when development stopped. But now its is being worked on again, well MiSTer version at least. It sounds like current focus might be on the Dragon 32/64 core as he announced that MiST and Mistica versions would be released soon (but maybe that ...

Minimig - Adding CTRL+Left GUI+Right GUI as Reboot?

Hi, I posted on Facebook group, but not sure how many of you look at that: I have been playing around with a Arduino/ProMicro to turn a real AMIGA keyboard into a USB device. I see there is an .ini option for the Core to reboot on CTRL+Left GUI+ Right GUI  . But I can't get the Minimig Core ...

USB - MIDI interface is it/can it be supported?

Hi. I have the hardware and just tested, so I think the answer is no. But... My MiST is a non MIDI version, and I have connected the RX pins to a Tape Audio In circuit. With the release of MT-32 Pi (baremetal Munt MT-32 emulator for Raspberry Pi) I have been getting into MIDI. I have tried it on my ...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Yes excellent point. I was thinking more actual Amiga hardware, and forgetting we have a scandoubler already built in with MiST. On MinimigUtils I can't see what SD0 is for? Reading mass storage from USB? When I need to transfer say individual or none .adf files I mount the SDcard into my PC and use...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

@robinsonb5 - I think you have got a handle on this now, but with MinimigAGA_MiST_20200912 on my RGB TV I also got a rolling picture. With the minimig_mist_20200916 everything seems good again. Remind me again with RTG. So for the initial setup and 99% of games I will need a 15kHZ compatible display...
