Re: [BBC Micro] new update

Hi, I've been talking to someone on MiSTer regarding BBC. They directed me to this modern remake: http://bbcmicro.co.uk/game.php?id=2904 Interesting that MiST & MiSTer have opposite problems. On MiST the games Menu has errors but in-game looks perfect and on MiSTer it is the other way around with th...

Did you get it from here:

https://github.com/sorgelig/SAMCoupe_MI ... r/releases

I saw the MiSTer Sam Coupe Core had been recently updated.

Re: Amstrad CPC 6128/664 (NEW)

Thanks. I will have to test Batman demo to see if previous glitches have gone.

Just went on CPCWiki, and was amazed that it was 2016 when i posted off a faulty GA chip for the group decapping. Time sure moves quick!

Re: [BBC Micro] new update

Are you pulling across the CRTC Type 0 'chip' from the Amstrad Core?

A few years back I bought a BBC Micro CRTC to convert my Amstrad 6128 from Type 2 to Type 0 - better for running demos :)

'Most BBCs have a Hitachi HD6845SP, which is very much a Type 0 CRTC'.

Re: [BBC Micro] new update

Hi, I have just rattled out a Test .MMB or .VHD (I will PM you the file link) It does not run from the menu, so Autoboot the image then press ESC. Then type: *DIN 0 304 *DIN 1 305 *EXEC !BOOT It runs for say 10 secs then crashes. The disk is a double sided image I split into 2 single sided images, s...

Re: [BBC Micro] new update

Hi all, I am sure some of you follow the demoscene. Anyway there was a real cool demo released at Revision for the BBC Micro, unfortunately it does not seem to work on the Core (crashes after a few seconds). It is down to the MMC/MMFS system rather than the Core. https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

@breiztiger - I just tried this on an real A500 + 512k fastram kick 1.3. It works but... my file was called Chillobits-fix (running this off USB stick via Gotek/FlashFloppy).

Maybe the demo had issues and a new ADF was released?

Re: Can a 'how to load' & keyboard commands be added to OSD Menu?

I thought they could just displayed as a text page as part of the OSD. I don't know how it works but the OSD pulls specific options across (scanlines, CPU speed) so i thought it might be able to display some text. Just trying to have the useful Wiki info in one place rather than relying on Internet ...

Can a 'how to load' & keyboard commands be added to OSD Menu?

Hello, I see the OSD has the possibility to move left/right to access controller setup and Core update. So I was wondering if a 'cheat sheet' screen would help most people? For example I grew up with ZX Spectrum and AMIGA so I will always remember Load (press J) "" but when I try say try CPC or C64 ...

Re: Atari 2600 / VIC 20

Having a ZX Spectrum+ back in the day I did not know anything about the luxury of motor control. Now owning quite a few systems I see C64, Dragon, MSX had motor control. I have a MSX tape drive and a Tapduino (digital tape player) which both have motor control inputs. The CoCo Core (and then hopeful...

Re: It's no more a MiSTery

It works on my 15khz display, but there's sure some shimmer. It looks like an attempt at an interlacing effect. It might just be my screen doesn't handle the effect very well. :) Very occasionally, the screen flashes black for a frame or so, too. Don't know if that's the behaviour on original hardw...

Re: Deal for core TRS-80 Color Computer 3 on MiST / Mistica FPGA16

Excellent progress! Can you please link to where you are finding Dragon .DSK images. I only found .vdk files and my normal games are tape (.cas) Hopefully .CAS will be supported in the future as most Dragon games came on tape. Loading via MiST tape input would be good as I still have my CASDuino for...

Re: GBA Core porting to Mister

Hello, There seems to be an issue with Shader Colors on VGA CRT (maybe also on VGA & 15Khz CRT?). For example playing Mario Kart on the main menu picture it shakes. If I change Shader Colors to something else than OFF the shake goes. But then when I go into the next screen it starts shaking and I ha...

Re: Has the HT1080z/TRS80 Model I core been ported from mist? (not coco)

I would really appreciate having a Dragon/Coco core.... I'll look at porting my core and adding Dragon support after I've done Irem M62... That would be great. I dont have my Dragons anymore. They had analogue joysticks but most games were ZX Spectrum ports so digital is fine. I made adapters from ...

I guess/hope this work could then be flowed into a Dragon 32/64 Core. I think this is one of the last 'popular' / main stream home computers yet to be represented on FPGA.
Its hardware is very similar.

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

It was mentioned on the MiSTERY Core about not fixing bugs with the Core, but to leave it as a real Atari. I think this is the same. There was not an AGA machine released with 68000, only with EC020 , 030 & 040. Is the CPU following this: The 68EC020 is a lower cost version of the Motorola 68020. Th...

The Archimedes is certainly a computer that you have to get your head around!
Me (and others) would be very grateful if once a working .hdf full of games and cool stuff plus the corresponding CMOS and Risc version files are made could they be zipped and uploaded somewhere please.
Cheers

Vebxenon - so you get the initial Minimig info screen with text at the bottom showing memory config etc? Then it goes black so F12 does not work? I used exactly the same settings as the 1.2.3 Amiga Core from months back.
