Re: If you want to donate to MiSTer project.
I just thought I'd say, I've dropped you a few sheckels in your Paypal account. Thanks for all you've done on this project. I've really enjoyed the systems, and the memories. Whilst emulators are great, having what feels like an actual C64 or Sega Master System or whatever other system I've played, ...

Re: Save States for the cores
More over, i don't remember a single emulator which can emulate for example ZX Spectrum, Amiga and Genesis. But people asking about save state basically treat the MiSTer as a monolithic emulator which can be just tweaked a little and all cores will start to save the states. You've heard of MESS and...

Hey Phil, Sorry to be a downer, but there's no link :) This might be because you're a new user and can't post links. Thanks for the effort in providing users with additional simulations. Edit: Also, there is a similar port to the original MiST, here: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=...

Re: PC Engine core
Bonk's Adventure loads but I can only see Bonk, the number of lives and the score. No level graphics are displayed. Blazing Lazers only plays the audio and no video output. Hope that helps. Hey, thanks for testing. I didn't have either of those games in my original rom set on the microSD card. I've...

Has release 20180304 improved the stability/accuracy much? What percentage of roms are fully playable at this point? I tested quite a few games and the vast majority run fine. This is the one I ordered: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/5sets-l ... 47161.html
Yes, that's the correct URL, it just points to a different item than you think it will.

Re: custom USB controller adapters
I can get directions working but not the buttons. I followed the example to the letter and tested for connectivity on relevant pins, I even tried using shorter connections but none of the button work. Maybe a problem with my board? Unfortunately I only have one right now :( I tested some of the exa...

Re: custom USB controller adapters
I realise this is for a different device, but if you have an Arduino UNO or clone around you could try this: https://github.com/AlanChatham/UnoJoy Bit more of a headache to set up, but it's an option and the 328p clone hardware is dirt cheap. If only I could find the 3-4 of them I have floating aro...

Sorry. I linked to a different version to the one I tried. <sigh> Genius, I know. This is the version I have that BSOD's (Ha ! The original BSOD - Take that Microsoft.) this is incorrect version. Re: C64 Cartridge support
Thanks. I'll take a look into it, to see how it works. I've never really played around with JiffyDOS - from what I recall reading, it's a rom replacement... Not sure how that will work on MiSTer. Also: Found this cart doesn't work either: http://www.elysium.filety.pl/tools/cartridges/pack.2/magic_de...

Re: C64 Cartridge support
I'm not sure if this can be fixed easily. I've been trying to use the turbo loader on the Action Replay V6 cart. The cart works in that it loads, the "handler" installs into memory, and loading causes the purple screen, but that's where everything stops. The game/program/demo never loads. The system...

Re: Joystick testing thread
Yes, it works fine with an Atari (one button) joystick. I have a small stick wired to Amiga 2 button format and it works fine with button 1 (as expected with a Genesis-compatible port). Thanks, I might have to pick one up. Even if only to use it on my Windows box. Although with 2 buttons, it limits...

Re: Joystick testing thread
Have you tested that first controller adaptor with a standard atari / C64 joystick ?
I built my own joystick for the MiST which works beautifully, and would like to use it as well on the MiSTer if possible. It's just that much smaller than the large USB joystick I have and easier to use.

Re: MiSTer: MiST on Terasic DE10-nano board.
I didn't see the point of starting a new thread to see if this might be possible. I was wondering, if there are other cores @sorgelig would be willing to port ? I realise some of these may not be possible, or interesting, but I thought if you don't ask, you may never know. CoCo3 (or TRS-80 III) in V...

Re: mapping two controllers?
May be I was unlucky, but I didn't get an OTG cable in the box. I have a USB to micro and USB to mini cable in my box. That's all there is, aside from power and the DE10 itself. The USB to mini cable is an OTG cable :) https://software.intel.com/en-us/node/712680 The power supply on my powered USB ...

Re: mapping two controllers?
I'll have to hunt around for a powered hub, that also does OTG. In the mean time, I just keep 2 of the 3 things I want plugged in at the same time. Can't you use a regular (non OTG) hub with the included OTG cable from the DE10? May be I was unlucky, but I didn't get an OTG cable in the box. I have...

Re: mapping two controllers?
So I pulled the mouse adaptor, restarted the Terasic board and the joystick has been good ever since. Can you try using a powered hub? It looks like a power problem. I don't have a powered hub, but it was my guess too, which was why I pulled the mouse adaptor. I figured 2 items plugged in would be ...

Try the attached. I'll test a few more controllers before updating the Github source. MiSTer_joy_fixes2.zip That worked, thanks ! I did have a slight hiccup - it was working for about 2 minutes, then the joystick stopped. I think between the keyboard, wireless mouse adaptor and the joystic...

Re: mapping two controllers?
I tried your firmware, and whilst I can now define the joystick properly, the controls don't work. I tried Timepilot - the ship just doesn't move / rotate. I can fire, easily enough. Then I tested Xevious which moved the ship towards the top left of the screen (all the way left, and 2/3rds of the wa...

Re: mapping two controllers?
Did anything come of the issues raised here ? I've just finished rebuilding my arcade joystick, which works perfectly well in Windows, but MiSTer only recognises left and right, but not up and down. It makes game play very difficult :) I'm using one of these generic USB encoders, if that helps at al...

Re: Arcade cores
Holy cow, that was quick. Thank youSorgelig wrote:Pengo has been released.
As i've expected, it requires a special support. Not just ROM replacement.

Good to know that you'll require proper source code for each game. If I find specific source code for cores, I'll point them out.
