Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Never thought I'd see Street Fighter II on the little 'old MiST but it plays great! A remarkable achievement. Has some issues though yet...

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Jotego released more games on his beta CPS1 core on Patreon. Three Wonders & Mega Twins. They look, sound & play fantastic! Never thought I'd be playing Three Wonders and Willow on my MiST.

Re: PCEngine core issues with roms?

Been playing Bonk's Adventure but I regularly have the game suddenly jumping back to the title screen as if it crashed. Anyone having the same issues?

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Nice, he's just fixed the pixel perfect issue I reported only a few days ago. This affected all his recent cores, including CPS1, showing up as funny scrolling issues and what looked like squashed pixels. Looks pixel perfect now on the display. As well as the cores above he's also fixed the CPS1 cor...

Re: [ZX Spectrum Core] New Update

That's sad news. No problem with my L2 with 240p signals but I've had issues with 480i and the arcade cores like Tapper etc although no issues with real consoles and 480i. The Sony consumer TVs are more forgiving of signals than the PVMs.

Re: New feature: YPbPr/RGsB output

You are connecting using a sync on composite into the PVM? And you've selected "RGB/EXT or COMP/EXT" on the PVM settings?

Re: [ZX Spectrum Core] New Update

Spectrum Next has a 7Mhz Z80 mode which improves some games considerably. I wonder how they've implemented this without messing up the timings in the Speccy?

Re: MiSTer and PVM resolution?

gaijinretro, have you tried other PAL outputs like Spectrum or Amiga? SNES PAL works fine through MiST on my PVM-14L2, a later model than yours. I know it's MiST but I assume the analogue output is the same as MiSTer as it's based on the same core.

Re: Atari 2600 / VIC 20

On Space Invaders anyone else see the player is twice as wide as it should be? i.e. compared to emulators and screenshots, don't have an original 2600 to compare. Everything else looks OK.

Arcade cores interlaced and PVM monitor

Recently got a Sony 14" PVM to replace my Sony CRT but I'm getting a shakey picture when using the interlaced Arcade cores like Tapper & Rampage. Shakey look is as if the interlaced lines aren't in sync with each other and hard to describe. Picture is fine (well fantastic! :D ) when running SNES int...

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Nice work slingshot on the MRAs and Williams Cores. The Williams/Robotron cores no longer need the reset for the CMOS with the MRA roms and switching between Williams cores now work correctly without the need to poweroff. Also the sound levels are now good too. Just the Defender cores need the same ...

Re: ARCADE core joystick mappings

Here's my Williams Core mappings, for those games with more than two buttons, for the iBuffalo SNES controller. You'll need the latest firmware to fix the mist.ini >1024 size bug. Also you'll need the latest cores as of today : iBuffalo SNES custom controls: (Put the following in MIST.INI) [mist] ;(...

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

The Williams Robotron cores have problems running one after another if power isn't turned off between the cores. The CMOS memory is being kept behind and not cleared so it corrupts the next game. Not sure if it's possible to clear this in the MiST or it has to be in the firmware.

"don't stop reading the line even it's too long, otherwise the it'll wrap to the next line"
This makes sense on those long comment lines, was this breaking those sections?

Re: ARCADE core joystick mappings

slingshot, I just knew you were going to say that   Looks like the problem is the line length has to be less than 90 characters in length for a section or the whole section is classed as invalid: ini_parser.c: if (i >= INI_LINE_SIZE) { return INI_SECTION_INVALID_ID; } My two lines were e...

Re: ARCADE core joystick mappings

Thought I was getting my head around the mappings and am getting there but I appear to have hit a bug, or I'm misunderstanding how the [core] works. For the Arcade cores I need multiple [core] definitions for keymapping, particularly with the Williams cores as they have many buttons. Here's my mist....

ARCADE core joystick mappings

Just trying to setup mappings I'm comfortable with with arcade cores that use multiple buttons. I'm a bit confused by the mappings, here is my Defender mappings for iBuffalo SNES: [DEFENDER] ; none,none,up,down,start(A),B(B),select(X),A(Y),left(L),ESC(SELECT),F1(START),START+SELECT joystick_remap=05...

Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Thanks for the new and updated Williams cores! Noticed defender sound is much better but the pitch is higher than MAME. Stargate works too. How can you reconfigure the keys in Defender & Stargate, currently they're impossible to use - would be nice to match MAME. Also I can't get credits and s...

Re: Atari 2600 / VIC 20

Anyone confirm paddles in the atari 9 pin port actually work? Just got a second hand one and it's not working with Super Breakout (fire button works), not sure the controller is faulty.
