Re: Joy2PS2 & Soraer's NKRO USB Converter for MiSTer
That works on Computer cores, but no on Console or Arcade ones. On those cases you need two USB cables: both gamepads or one gamepad/one keyboard. Because with the keyboard you can't map 2 controllers. For 2P support you need to modify the firmware. I have the same problem on my JAMMA adapter.

Re: DB9 Vs USB game control tests
Where can you buy the DB9 adapter for Mister? I will sell, but don't have available yet (waiting boards from JLCPCB). It's open hardware, so you can order the PCBs and make yourself (mister_io_db9 and mister_io_todb9): https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Hardware_alternative/tree/master/DB9_USER_IO/Eag...

Re: SDRAM board
I have adapted XXS to official IO board thanks for the help of Sorgelig. The new model will be called XXSD. I have published open source here: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Hardware_alternative Ordered today to JLCPCB. I will try in about 3 weeks. It's a small change from XXS but by caution don't ...

Re: SDRAM board
Ever since the NeoGeo core was released, I am obsessed with the idea of putting my MiSTer (just the DE10 and a ram module) into a NeoGeo X dock's case. Problem is the height of the vertical ram module. Hence I am looking for a 128 MB horizontal outward module but it seems everyone is just doing ver...

Re: SDRAM board
but the XXS is not (but XXS is better if you're not using a standard case). No, it's not better. It's just more convenient for seller to solder. There is no other reason for XXS. Name XXS is arguable as it protrudes to the side making the overall size of MiSTer larger. There is other reason. To fit...

Re: composite video without moving color artifacts
I've talked with you and I understand your point. The thread is opened if someone can create a test core. The tuning capacitor doesn't work. It only makes the moving slower. The only solution is clock generated by the FPGA.

Re: composite video without moving color artifacts
McLeod wrote a module for ZX-Uno to generate thes PAL and NTSC signals from a 140MHz clock input. Maybe it can be adapted this module to MiSTer. module pal_clock ( input wire clk, // 140 MHz input wire pal_ntsc, // 0: 17.734475 MHz , 1: 14.31818 MHz output wire out ); reg [28:0] cnt = 29'h00000000; ...

composite video without moving color artifacts
I actually sell a vga->composite/svideo adapter. With svideo there is no problem but with composite there are moving color artifacts. The only solution to avoid these moving artifacts is generating the color carrier clock by the FPGA, and send through VSYNC signal. There is no conflict with VGA->Sca...

Re: UnAmiga FPGA board
That was the ZX-Uno original idea: http://zxuno.speccy.org/ i don't know about original idea but result has nothing common with RPi. I think he means the size and the connectors. Granted it ended up needing a bit of a case mod, but not a big one. We use old raspberry pi case because it has RCA conn...

Re: UnAmiga FPGA board
Instead of making all these virtually the same boards would be better to make a RPi size board with all major connectors of RPi. And the board would have a success (of course if good support will be provided) as it will fit an thousands RPi cases. That was the ZX-Uno original idea: http://zxuno.spe...

Re: UnAmiga FPGA board
I know zxuno repository. Many cores there are without sources. Only binaries. Sometime ago i wanted to check what they did in CPC core, but found only binaries. Some other cores as well. It's even not good for the project itself because some potential developer will be distracted by this. For commu...

Re: UnAmiga FPGA board
There cannot be excuses like "my code is not cleaned yet", "it's messy" etc.. Once you provide the core, then provide the source code as well if it's not the core written yourself fully. This is my main complain to Spanish community. I am totally agree with the open source community and I am would ...
