Re: Do you still use a MiST exclusively?

I own a MiST and a TC64 parallel. The latter has a PC core, called Next186 ported by Alastair M. Robinson: https://opencores.org/projects/next186_soc_pc Otherwise the MiST is better in my opinion, I like it's robust metal case and minimalist design. I don't plan to buy a MiSTer, the only considerabl...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Hi! Alastair M. Robinson released a new minimig core for the TC64 with experimential implementation of the Akiko Chunky-to-Planar converter (which can be used by a handful of games to increase video performance), and an experimental P96 retargetable graphics driver. Re: MiST in 2020

Hi! FPGA is not software emulation, but a hardware reimplementation, which follows the structure and function of the original computer as close as possible. So no lag, only if you want to use some kind of external active video converter. 1. Most cores are capable to output scandoubled and interlaced...

Re: MiST Scart Hack (Autoselect input)

5V should be enough, official SCART standard says 0-2v means OFF, 5-8V results 16:9 and 9,5-12V results 4:3 aspect ratio on pin 8. I tested it on several CRTs and LCDs as well. Perhaps some TVs don't respect these standards. Wiki article here:

Re: Apple Macintosh aka Plus Too

I've checked the core and updated some internal stuff + TG68K. It loads the HD images from this site: http://www.savagetaylor.com/2018/05/28/setting-up-your-vintage-classic-68k-macintosh-creating-your-own-boot-able-disk-image/ However nothing else was fixed, OS7.5.5 still hangs during init. Re: Original analog video without I/O board? Possible!

Or if you don't want an IO board, add a $15 HDMI to VGA adapter and use direct video. Will it output progressive 15khz resolution, like 240p/288p? On the first post, Sorgelig said direct it supports "from interlaced 15KHz to progressive 1080p". What is not clear to me: was it a limitation of the ad...

Re: MIST and AV signal

Here are my results, tested with latest MiSTery core (200209) and newest firmware (200311).

In case of NTSC TOS the position of the switch does not matter, composite out is in color anyway. But using a PAL TOS, the picture is B/W if the switch is set to NTSC standard, az expected.

Re: MIST and AV signal

... So I have everything working except my problem is that I'm getting a monochrome image. I do see changes in the monochrome image when I adjust red green or blue, so I'm sure the converter is receiving all three components of the RGB signal. I really wouldn't know what to try, to get a color sign...

... The Laser 350 and 700 are variations of the 500 with a different memory model (16K and 128K respectively). I usually refer to the 500 because it was the most common.
