Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)
I'm not sure if I understand 100%. I was aware of people running multi-node BBS on Amiga and using DOS multitaskers such as DesqView. Given MiSTer cores only have access to a single COM port, I think that won't work. Are you talking about running multiple MiSTer's ? Yes, Deskview was one of the big...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)
Very strange. I have no idea about that. Vision-X seems to work fine at 57600... I ran Vision-X for a few years from 1989 to 1991 I believe. I had a lot fun with it. Are you planning on putting up a Vision-X BBS on the Mister? there were a few of us that ran multi-node, of course to do that back th...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)
Since 38400 is the default for ao486 core and midilink, does midilink for ao486 send a 38400 Connect result code of "28". Or is it just sending Connect of '1' result code? The default (unless you specify differently in the INI via TCP_BAUD=) for TCP mode is 115200 The result code sends "CONNECT 115...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)
so with the TCP_DTR=2 it will drop the carrier on the VisionX BBS. It just takes a few seconds. no big deal. Downloaded and updated the latest midilink. Seems the Vision-x requires the response codes to know when it connects, or it will just site there at locking port at 38400 bps.. turning off the...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)
So far I have not been able to get any of these Vision BBS programs to work for me. They just exit to DOS prompt after I make a remote connection... Hope that helps... Thanks for testing :) I have seen the BBS programs exit to dos, but it's usually because of an error like a file is not found and t...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)
Getting rid of the response codes is easy. I have not had much luck setting up Vision or Vision-x for testing the DTR hangup. For Vision-X tried "visx099r.zip" and I'm getting runtime errors. Does this program work with QEMM? For Vision I tried "v284betb.zip" and that one crashing saying "PDMATRIX.N...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)
This version of Midilink also works with LSD 1.35 BBS. I have pushed a new MidiLink where DTR drop causes the modem to hang up... I guess it may be a good idea to make that behavior optional via the "AT&D#" commands and MidiLink.INI. Thanks for testing! I redownloaded the upgrade script and re-ran....

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)
I have made sure my ao486 core is set to 38400. I have had partial success with bbs software. It seems if the BBS software uses the escape codes to hangup "+++,ATH" there is no issue with it hanging up (Oblivian/2 tested), but other software that use code to drop the DTR like Vision, Vision-x and o...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)
I'm really impressed with the use of this within the few cores. The thought that crossed my mind is someone may want to run a full retro BBS software on it for ao486 core. Something link Vision, VisionX, Emulex, Citidel or Renegade to name a few. I have tried to deploy all of these mentioned and th...

Your boot.rom is the wrong size, it should be 32k. Ensure that your basic and kernal roms are both 8K and your drive rom is 16K. copy /b basic.bin + /b kernal.bin + /b dos1541.bin boot.rom Now I get the correct size of 32768 bytes, but the same thing happens. C64 core - help me get it running
I have been trying to get the C64 core running, but with no luck. I have the latest C64 rbf file in my root as usual. I have created a 'C64' folder and placed a boot.rom file there. I have copied the files as follows to create the boot.rom file. COPY BASIC.bin + KERNAL.bin + C1541.bin BOOT.ROM /B i ...

I have designed an Atari2USB joystick adapter utilizing a Arduino Pro-Micro. I have printed a few boards and have tested with the PC/Linux with emulations with no issues. such as MAME. This unit does NOT act as a keyboard, but as an actual pair of game controllers. Windows and Linux will detect game...

New to the ao486 core and I am wondering how much EMS can be available for this core. I currently have the expanded SDRAM module on my mister. I was thinking of toying around with an older BBS on it to see if it will run. my config.sys is very basic: DEVICE=C:\DOS\HIMEM.SYS DEVICEHIGH=C:\DOS\EMM386....
