Re: new Nova drivers

Perhaps you could temporarily rename xboot.prg to xboot.prx, just to make sure it isn't doing anything strange. Then rename nvdi.pr to nvdi.prg. Then reboot and see what happens.

Re: new Nova drivers

James in the NOVA menu there is an option that says 'GDOS' and you type NVDI.PRG and then save. This is what I do. I always run NVDI *after* Nova VDI. Mint will automatically boot to whatever res you set in the Nova menu.

Re: Powering a 12V fan for my ATI Mach64

Back when I used to have my graphics card outside I just bought a plastic enclosure from my local electronics shop & just hacked it a little to add a VGA output hole and room for the cables, drilled some holes for airflow, quite easy to make. btw you can power a 12v fan on the 5v rail, it just runs ...

Re: WiFi on Atari?

Writing native drivers to control Wifi signals and encrypted passwords etc is unfeasable - BUT - There is another way. You can get an OpenWRT powered mini-router, which can actually be 'controlled' from the host ethernet. A guy on 68kmla.org created MacWifi: https://github.com/antscode/MacWifi / htt...

Re: Falcon030 - What is this Mod on U19?

Looks like the SDMA track has been cut and routed through that gate delay chip and back again. Perhaps an undocumented attempt at delaying the sdma? An old clock patch. If that is the case you could remove these cables, repair the sdma clock trace and then fit a modern clock patch instead. This is m...

Re: ACSI2STM strange behaviour

Masteries latest firmware is excellent, he will probably post it here soon, lots of improvements and great stability on my systems. Tested on my STFM and H5 prototype, both are great. AHPT94 gets zero errors in RW test. No corruption. Copy files and save desktop is fine.

Re: Problems with my TT SCSI and Floppy

Atari1975 earlier on when Frank suggested you set the TT SCSI ID to 7 you misinterpreted him and set your scsi2sd to 7. He didn't mean that, he means making sure the TT SCSI bus is set to 7 with the nvram program, not the device.

Another option we have these days, with an STf, you can get the cloudy/storm/rainy hardware to give USB & external CDRW usb writer support. Not sure if the Netusbee is fast enough for it.

Guillaume they're trying to tell you that if you actually have file system errors you will never know... The best fix would have been for you to get fsck.fat from the latest snapshot and adding it to your install.

Re: Yamaha CD-writer problems (Extendos 4)

Try to re-run 'install' for extendos, reconfigure existing install, you can bypass scan, choose the device and select advanced options... here you can click on the "No" button opposite "Use SCSIDRV routines". Then on the line labelled "Limit I/O length", select "64K". Then click set values, and done...

It's the same as a Gotek basically.. but it has the flash floppy firmware.

So check flash floppy image support: https://github.com/keirf/FlashFloppy/wiki/Image-Formats

And then watch one of the millions upon trillions of Gotek how-to videos on youtube ;)

Re: Fuse blown on PSU - replaced fuse. Didn't work replaced another PSU....Dead 1040 ST

Sounds like you need to send it to someone to have a look at. Those old PSU's unless re-capped usually have terrible voltage spikes, it could have fried a chip.

Understood. Although it is a bit hard for me to differentiate between plain (T)OS drivers and MiNT ones and how these are installed. I will ask in a new topic. All the Mint drivers are inside /1-19-CUR/USB/ and loaded by adding: exec C:/MINT/1-19-CUR/USB/USBLOADER.PRG To the mint.cnf file. (usbload...

Re: I watch this & instantly respect dml more

I had another 'perspective changing' experience of computers with a DSP recently. I picked up and restored an Apple 840AV, being famous for the last 68k Mac and also including an AT&T DSP which is supposedly quite powerful. After restoring it I was hoping I'd find lots of cool DSP software like the ...
