Re: Games that spectacularly fail to live up to billing....
Psygnosis Barbarian had screenshots from rooms that didn't exist. But of course the controls were so utterly hopeless that the odds of me ever finding out back in the day was pretty much zero :)! Still loved the game though, since it looked and sounded amazing and was also one of my first ST games :...

Re: Hatari libretro updates?
I was considering that, but I find Github to be somewhat confusing. I am not a coder, so get a bit lost

Hatari libretro updates?
Not sure if the people behind the Hatari libretro core is hanging around here, but I thought I would take a chance and ask; Are there any plans to update the core at some point? Maybe add working netplay? :) Some buddies and I have tried to get ST netplay working in an older version of Retroarch and...

Re: VARIOUS ATARI STE/STFM/STF SYSTEMS, SPARE PARTS AND UPGRADES
I really should replace the case and keyboard for my 1040 STE. Money is a bit tight at the moment though, but get back to me if you have any of the items and then we can see ..

Re: Fullscreen GUI missing
If anyone else is having this problem; I actually found a solution to it. If I use "Windowed Borderless Mode" the GUI returns (see attached picture), at least in 3.9.4. Also this doesn't seem to affect my ability to record with Action, so this worked for me...

Re: Quickstart guide for making Pasti-images
If you want to actually image the ST disk directly on the PC, no, Pasti doesn't work like that. The imaging tool works only on the ST. But you don't need a PC with a FDC, you can use an USB floppy for the purpose of accessing the transfer disk. Otherwise, if you have some kind of ST hard disk emula...

Re: Quickstart guide for making Pasti-images
I'm not sure what you mean. PastiTools precisely creates and writes to an image file on the PC. PastiTools reads from the transfer disk. The data on the transfer disk is written at the ST. What exactly you want to do? Is it possible to have the image file saved onto the PCs hard-drive instead of to...

Re: Quickstart guide for making Pasti-images
A bit of a necro post this, but since the PASTI software is still relevant, I thought what the hell
. Is there a way to have PastiTools.exe write to an image file on the PC HD instead of to a floppy transfer disk?

Re: Disk Repair Tools ST
Ok, I know its a PC app, but I got the impression that you needed two floppy drives on your PC to get this to work, according to the text file. A bit confusing that text file, but still doubtful it will work since the FAT probably wont be readableCogweasel wrote:charles wrote:nope just one floppy , it transfers to pc ,

Re: Disk Repair Tools ST
STTOPC.rarallright here you go Had a closer look at the text file, don't think this will work. It copies files it seems and since the FAT on the disk is probably not in good shape, I doubt this will work. Also seems to require two floppy drives... oh well, still worth a look, thanks for finding the...

Re: Disk Repair Tools ST
Thanks Charles! I included Diskedit in my attempts. But no luck so far, the disc seems unreadable. Both the boot sector and FAT seems screwed beyond repair. I have managed to make an PASTI image of it without any read errors, but of course the image isn't possible to open either. Almost all my other...

I think I only ever played the demo of Damocles. I think there was a time limit or something, otherwise you were free to explore the world. Thanks ggn and Mug UK! Will give Trans D-Bug express a try as a last attempt. I do have two floppy drives, but my external one is not working. I have now transferred most of my old ST disks, with the aid of a Unicorn, about metric ton of stubbornness and a bit of patience on top of that. :D Hopefully I will be able to upload some missing stuff to the archives soon...
