Looking for musician to collaborate on a homebrew game
Looking for a talented musician to collaborate on my first homebrew STE game which will be a sidescrolling shmup, gradius-style. I can handle graphics and coding, but need a musician to finish it off. Would prefer something original, specially for this project so it would stand out. SNDH format only.

Re: Feature Requests for STeem
There are two things I liked about HATARI that Steem doesn't have. Both were AFAIK done via TOS hacks, but were nice to have nevertheless. First one was mouse scroll support for scrolling through GEM windows. Also you could open file by middle clicking it. Second one was VirtualBox-style focus detec...

Does STOS support all 4096 colors of STE?
I'm trying to figure out whether it's STOS not supporting those or Sprite not being updated to support it. Could use larger color selection even if I can display only 16 at a time (main gripe is that white is not actually white in 512 spectrum while it may be the case in 4096 one).

Graphic format specification for STOS graphics?
Where can I find info about how STOS saves image files (ones created with its graphic utility)? Reason I'm asking is that I'm sick of builtin sprite editor and I've remembered just today that I've done graphic tool for another "oldschool" thing called Megazeux to edit graphics with as Megazeux's gra...

Re: Feature Requests for STeem
You should add PC Qwerty mapping. I hate to guess which key to press to put in character I want. Like @ vs. " (quote) or inability to put in \, because there's # and ~ there instead.

Missing Link docs?
Anyone has them? Because I got it, but have no idea how to actually work this thing.

Steem download outdated?
I assume this steem.atari.st is the main page of the software because of fairly recent news. However in the info window of downloaded version I can see it's 3.2, compiled in 2004! Where I can download build of current (3.6-3.7) ones?

Would you be interested in a screen editor?
I am considering writing a screen editor for STOS that will make easier creating things like title screens and so on. It would be very basic (pun unintended), only pixel plotting and it will be lores only. It will be operated only using keyboard and will save into Degas format by writing screen.pi1 ...

Re: STOS sprite editor, precision issues
Emulator (Steem). As I've said in the other thread, I can't afford actual ST and even if I could I don't have place for it to stay. @EstTeeEfEm, how do I slow mouse precision in Steem?

STOS sprite editor, precision issues
My hand is not shaking, always in shooters can get a headshot from decent range, but there's something about the STOS editor that I always miss what pixel I try to put in. Don't know if it's just cursor that makes it imprecise (would appreciate crosshair cursor for everything) or just that it's hard...

PC Qwerty mapping?
Mainly I mean the whole @ vs. " thing and the fact you can't type in \, because key used for that inputs #/~. IMO emulators should input key the user is expecting to type (i.e. one that is on their keyboard and not keyboard of emulated system), so if I press shift+' I want to get quote, not the @ sy...

Re: STOS BASIC CURRENT NEWS & INFORMATION 2015
One last thing, So I've launched STOS on Steem and trying to follow manual's tutorial (that animals.mbk thing). So I've copied accessories disk to HDD folder (along with STOS as you suggested), typed in STOS shell load "animals.mbk", it loaded, shows in listbanks, but when I do next part and write s...

Re: STOS BASIC CURRENT NEWS & INFORMATION 2015
Is it better? May try it then, thank you. It's just that Hatari was the first result I got when googling for Atari ST emulator.

PC QWERTY keyboard mapping?
Hey, could someone put up PC Qwerty keyboard mapping for Hatari? So guesswork what each key does would be taken out of the equasion (mainly I mean @vs." issue and \ key, latter I can't input no matter what).

Re: STOS BASIC CURRENT NEWS & INFORMATION 2015
Any chances for image files that will work with Hatari emulator? Would like to play around with it and I can't afford actual hw.
