Re: CosmosEX 3.0

Hi DarkLord, my mistake I checked some docs around and you are correct. How does it even work when most STs don't have an RTC and files are all dated in 1980? Could it be all my files were dated 1-Jan-1980 and because it couldn't sort by date it did by Alphabetical? i'll dig and try stuff... When c...

Re: CosmosEX 3.0

One small detail though, and someone correct me if I'm wrong but unless the CosmosEX itself changes something, any files copied into the AUTO folder are executed at boot up in the order they were copied into the AUTO folder and not by alphabetical order. Hi DarkLord, my mistake I checked some docs ...

Re: CosmosEX 3.0

Are you selling your 2.0 ? Nah, if anything it will be going to one of my other Ataris. It’ll will. It’s a evolution on my first model. 51439E1A-70E5-43D2-8AA8-57EB67E3D9DD.jpeg That is definitely cleaner than the other solution that I had before, which has a full adapter that blocked other things ...

Re: CosmosEX 3.0

...Curious what number those who have received it are, I still haven't gotten mine, and I was number 90. According to their website they have sent out 42. I guess that is the answer to everything. But made 60 and 25 more is almost finished. Ha, which of course means, like everything else in...

Re: CosmosEX 3.0

Got mine today for Falcon but unable to install it. Can anyone post photos-videos for help? Thanks. Are you talking about the SCSI terminator blocks? You have to desolder those and then solder in the pin headers to line up with the new bridge board. Curious what number those who have received it ar...

Re: 'LAN' (Localtalk RS-422) port to be useful after 30 years?

It could be used to connect Mac MIDI interfaces. Drivers available for Cubase and other MIDI apps. Nice! I've actually looked before and never ran into that information. Interesting. I'm mainly looking because now I own an Apple IIGS, and am curious if there would be a way to get them to talk to ea...

'LAN' (Localtalk RS-422) port to be useful after 30 years?

So, decided to dive deep into this because it's always bugged me that this port was on the Mega STe / TT030 and Falcon, but was never used for anything. Looking at the specs at least for the first two, it leads into the same Zilog Z85c30 chip as the serial ports do. So I happened to find this; https...

Some sacrifices are worth it (and must be made). :) Ha, indeed. Got the Incognito into the 800, SuperVideo 2.1 mod on the 1200xl, and I attempted the UAV on the upgraded 130XE, but that didn't work out, so restored it to how it was. Attached you find the connectors and stuff.. Oh its too large to a...

Sweet, I may have made the joke at some point that we shall see what happens first, CosmosEx 3.0, or Atari VCS. Last heard, 500 of those were very close to production. Wondering if mine is stuck in customs! Did they give out any tracking? I haven't even seen an email...

Now if we can get Geneva to work with the 060 in my Falcon, where my CosmosEX sits, I would be loving it! "We" certainly can, unfortunately Dan Wilga seems to be cleaning up sources for release for second year now, so ... I too donated to that cause. Hopefully he is doing well, in the current clima...

Re: COVID-19 Watcher 1.0.0

Gluestik for MiNT should be included in the distribution, look for it at C:/mint/1-19-9ef/sys-root/opt/GEM/gluestik, but it is disabled by default and needs to be enabled in mint.cnf. I am not a MiNT expert, though. I can confirm it works fine with Gluesitk/MiNT. I find it cynical to shout here hoo...

Re: ISA GFX Card not displaying in TT

The Nova VME Adapter is one of the first ones and it works fine with ET4000AX and not with W32 and ATI cards. I got my ET4000/w32i working earlier tonight, was just trying to figure out what the highest resolution I could get it to would be. Was hoping to get 800x600@24b, but I don't think that's g...

Should not let me stay home for so long, I keep playing with soldering irons! You say that like it's a bad thing... :) It is when you grab one by the part leading up to the tip between your two fingers. Suprised that didn't burn that bad, just a bit of a sting. At least the 1200xl got its mod!

Re: Nova VME, jumper settings and ET4000/w32i (upgrade to 4mb?)

Ah, but so filling up the empty slots should in theroy give me 2mb. I used to have a chart of video resolution capabilities based on video ram. No idea where it went though. Wikipedia used to have one too, but haven't been able to find it. So is it only some rare ET4000/W32i and Mach64 that can top ...

Re: Nova VME, jumper settings and ET4000/w32i (upgrade to 4mb?)

According to wikipedia, The /W32i revision featured an interleaved 32-bit memory bus (with 2MB+ of memory) to improve memory throughput. It supports a maximum of 4 MB of video memory, though most boards featuring the chip typically offer a maximum expansion of 2MB or less." It has 8 chips now and I ...
