Re: Reverse engineering of some ICD Link adapter
So you have rascsi running directly on the acsi port ? That looks interesting or do you have a link between it? This is the kind of ACSI-SCSI adapter I have: https://forum.atari-home.de/index.php?topic=15900.0 It can be seen on this picture: https://www.atari-forum.com/download/file.php?id=44044&t=1

Re: Reverse engineering of some ICD Link adapter
Hi, that would be great if the dynaport support would work. Can you send a picture of your Atari & rascsi ? Did you build your own pcb or did you got it from a store? I breadboarded one during lockdown as a proof-of-concept: 20200410_150212.jpg 20200522_150628(1).jpg Then I made a custom PCB as it ...

Re: Reverse engineering of some ICD Link adapter
The advantage of SCSI is the larger community of retrocomputing enthusiasts it targets :D Since the death of my mechanical SCSI HDD I'm testing RaSCSI which is developed for Nec X68000 and more recently 68k Macs. It's working great for multiples HDDs and CDROM emulation on my STE. Now I'm looking fo...

FYI I had no problem UPXing your demo binary, putting it in a 800kB disk image (attached) and launching it from my FlashFloppy in my 4MB STE

In Steam v4.0.0 after the undo part, there are 1 or 2 more 3D screens and then the scroller
"One of the most advanced screens ever coded for the Atari STE" is what is stated by the demo
What is the text you have in the state you reach?

Re: RGB to HDMI does this work with a ST
Sorry I cleaned up my tempdir a bit, a bit too much it seems. I've added the file again so the same link should work. Thank you! I found the 50/60Hz tools there: http://paradize.final-memory.org/tools.shtml Is your flicker test compatible with 60Hz by the way? I had strange results with my...

Re: RGB to HDMI does this work with a ST
A way to test is running a program that alters between two colours every second frame. If it flickers like mad, it's good, if it doesn't, it's bad. So I made a quick one for testing: http://ae.dhs.nu/tmp/flicker.zip The screen will cycle between green and purple every second VBL. A converter that o...

Re: HAM Radio software
I think I have what your are looking for, a hi-res french software called "COM 3.01" that was able to decode RTTY, FAX, Morse... I bought it from Diskimage in 1994. You have to build a printer port interface to use it (I cannot attach the schematic at the moment). Unfortunately I was never able to m...

Re: Gerbers for TT?
Attached are the Falcon Gerber files that I've got. I've never had much time to look into them, though. So I cannot say which revision of the board they represent. Here's a preview. Note that although it says Sparrow, the model number C303006-001 and the actual PCB layout clearly indicate it's a Fa...

Re: Geneva and NeoDesk 4 Released as Donationware
I tried to install Geneva on Steem 3.9.4 but it reports "Geneva Disk B - Extras" is in an unrecognised format. Disk A is recognised. Downloaded Disk B again in case it had been corrupted -- same result Steem can't recognise it or open it. I don't have Hatari installed yet. Can anyone confirm that t...

Is a vanilla Gotek usable in a 1040STE (1.62 TOS) or does it need to be flashed with a custom FW?

There are also plenty of micro-HDMI to DVI cable adapters: I don't know the legal aspect but maybe it is possible to use a HDMI plug to output only DVI data (no sound, no CEC...)?

Did you create that wiring diagram based off an actual dongle? I'm curious if the part was actually a 10L8? This is a schematic I found in the forum, not mine: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?p=111369#p111369 The wiring is the same as a dongle I found on the internet: http://www.nightfallc...

Re: Cubase Audio Dongle Clone
You're right, it won't help to clone the PAL but it might help to mimic its behaviour. Assuming the schematic is this one : 1. The PAL is clocked by the UDS signal, which toggles even if there is no activity on the cartridge port, inputing address bus data to the PAL 2. The PAL outputs will be enabl...
