Re: Problem saving Cubase songs in Ultrasatan
Did you check the little write protect tab on the SD card to make sure it's not locked?

Re: Problem saving Cubase songs in Ultrasatan
Miguel, I know you meant well but your suggestion has one fatal flaw - Pp is currently unable to write anything to an SD card in his UltraSatan so how can he use the STe and UltraSatan to prepare another boot card? :D That's not a flaw in my suggestion....we actually want to ascertain if the fault ...

Re: Floopy disk reader USB to Atari 1040 ste to transfer the driver for MIDEX
Yes you simply change .DR to .DRV to activate the driver within the MROS folder. Alternatively you could run the installer program which does it for you but it's just as easy to simply rename the file extension....it's a common thing to do on the Atari.

Re: Floopy disk reader USB to Atari 1040 ste to transfer the driver for MIDEX
The MIDEX driver should already be in the MROS folder of Cubase so all you have to do is modify the file extension to .DRV

Throw another SD card in there and set it up on the Atari itself

Most of those cards had an external audio i/o and there were also pin connectors for the CD drive.....there were also daughter boards and MIDI i/o of course.

Re: Your favourite MIDI software
Cubase is my favorite with Notator a close second. I guess Cubase wins out mostly because they just kept on adding really cool features whereas the development of Notator ended so they could make something more like Cubase in Logic.

Re: Steinberg MIDEX+ does it work with Atari TT?
One of the things to watch out for is the difference in cartage port height between the different machines. It is for that reason that C-Lab's Unitor interfaces have two positions to affix the rubber feet....something which is not present on the MIDEX interface.

Re: Steinberg MIDEX+ with Cubase and Notator?
could anyone recommend me a Midi interface that has a minimum of 4 Midi Inputs and works brilliantly with Cubase and OSX? On a modern computer your best bet for decent MIDI input is going to be card based and the best option for output is going to be something which uses a latency compensation prot...

Re: Steinberg MIDEX+ with Cubase and Notator?
I borrow this topic. Just managed to get myself Midex+ adapter, but only the hardware. Where from could I find the drivers and manual? Files are enough. No need for original diskette or actual manual. All information is welcome. The Midex driver can be found in the MROS folder of Cubase. You can si...

Re: Sending time code or smpte to clock external DAW
In regard to MIDI synchronization I would recommend slaving the Atari to the Mac if you are able to use MOTU's MTS (MIDI Time Stamping) protocol with your particular setup. This is because protocols such as AMT, LTB and MTS can only deliver good timing by compensating for the latency of a modern com...

Re: cubase dongle
You just want to get the oxidization off the contacts here, so don't rub it back so far that you are down to the copper.

Re: cubase dongle
The reason why I suggest using a jeweler's loop or a decent magnifying glass is so you can see how much oxidization is on the contacts. I mean it's no good tickling it with a q-tip or something soft if there is some serious oxidization on there. If it's really bad you might need something slightly m...

Re: cubase dongle
On the off chance that this is relevant and might help you: I have trouble with ROM port reliability on machines with exxos PSU installed. Voltage seems to be a bit too high for my NetUSBee cartridges to work. [edit: or too low? I have no idea] It took me a while to figure this out since a cartridg...

Re: cubase dongle
I would have advised you against opening that dongle, it was quite unnecessary and there was a good chance you would neglect to take note of it's orientation....now don't go plugging it in until you have figured out the orientation!!!.

Re: cubase dongle
In regard to cleaning contacts I would recommend inspecting them with a decent magnifying glass such as a jeweler's loop and that includes the contacts on the Atari...speaking of which I would recommend running some cardboard in there if it's dirty.

Re: Steinberg MIDEX+ with Cubase and Notator?
Cubase can automatically select the slot on the MIDEX+ for it's own key whereas Notator can not, so I would recommend putting the Notator key in the first slot so it's good to go when you switch the computer on.

Re: Searchable PDF Manuals for Cubeat 2.0 (plus disk image), Notator Alpha 1.1, Notator/Creator SL 3.1
I scanned the full Notator SL manual for AMN but it ended up in some obscure corner of the site playing second fiddle to some more prominently placed old incomplete upload....then of course the site disintegrated. I am glad you also scanned and put up the manual for others.
