Re: STM1 Mouse - dead ?

Have added some photos.
Don't have a multimeter to test the wires yet (I'll get one this week, always useful).
But the inside looks ok to me, I've cleaned up any dirt and gunk.
Anyone see anything obvious?

STM1 Mouse - dead ?

Bought a 'spare' STM1 mouse on a whim, it was lowball ebay win so why not. Turns out it doesn't work  . Mouse port is fine as my usual STM1 and Speedmouse both work. Symptoms: If I turn the STE on with the mouse connected, I get a repeating keyclick noise. When the STE boots up there is no poi...

Gold Of The Americas SSG 1990

Anyone have a copy of this squirrelled away, which is -not- the highly compressed version on Automation 482? Always thought this was an Amiga exclusive as this is where I played it originally... however a search this morning turns out there is an ST version. Automation 482 has it, but decompression ...

Re: Help identify some kit?

Well looks like it is nothing to do with midi after all sorry guys ... it definitely looks like an early version of that "switchsoft" input/output box. There are no electronics inside just various wires connected from the flat cables to the input/output ports. Not as exciting as I had first thought!...

Charles there is a bunch of stuff, all originals with disks, manuals and binders, mostly Hisoft - Devpac 2, Modulo, and Wercs along with a boxed copy of Campus Draft (not programming I know).

Re: Help identify some kit?

Ok, I will open it up tonight after work. There was, what looks like, two people who contributed to the pile of stuff that I picked up.. one being a programmer/dabbler (there was devpac and some other programming stuff and loads of project disks) and the other being a music person as there are some ...

Help identify some kit?

Hi I picked up an ST to refurbish for myself... it came with a load of stuff, some of which I have no idea what it is? Can anyone identify the box in the picture, it has the two interface cables extending from it, and the midi cables seem to have the "jack" type ends which fit in to the smaller hole...

Re: HxC manager software - very slow traversing folders

Old version works fine no delays when entering folders and no waiting for list of games to load

Re: HxC manager software - very slow traversing folders

Should I make a limit on number of files? There are >100 in some folders.. I have made a "games2" folder with about 40 titles in, and that seems to load faster, I guess there are too many to handle? It does however take a long time to load the Games folder.... which itself only has other folders ins...

HxC manager software - very slow traversing folders

Filled the card up with folders as follows Games -0-9 -a -b -c etc Compilations -Automation -SuperGau Demos Traversing the folders... it takes at least 10 seconds or more to list the contents of various folders, it even takes a few...

Colonial Conquest hard disk version?

Before ploughing money in to an ultrasatan, I've been trying to make sure that my favourite ST game "Colonial Conquest" will work from hard disk. To test this I've tried various versions, copying the files from A: to C: in a STEEM emulation session, with C: as a STEEM ST hard drive. Cracked versions...

Colour of Atari ST/STFM/STE case/keyboard

OK from what I remember in the 80's our family had a 520ST with external floppy. The colour of this was a nice clean bluey-grey, and the keyboard was very white. Now I have been trying to find a nice, clean, not-discoloured ST on eBay and have got hold of a few but have been disappointed with the co...
