Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

I uploaded the v1.5 driver disk for the Atari TT AlberTT graphics card, from Dover Research Corporation. (1991)

No idea if it works. It's a 16 colour or mono 640x480 - 1024x768 VME graphics card for the TT.

(And, now I have: 1x non working STFM, 2x non-working STE's and 1x non-working TT030!!)

Not sure if this is the same "Freedom" you mean but this is the crack of Cocktel Vision game "Freedom" in English .[/attachment] It is, but I was looking for the original disk :) Thanks though :D Have three original versions : the French one, the English one and the German one. Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

Huh. No, it's something to do with my SteemSSE config it seems. But I can't see what. I set up a new Steem folder, set all my usual defaults, let pasti manage the disk images etc, MegaST, 2mb, Tos 1.4, and it works fine on the new install. (To clarify, the .scp and Aufit .stx work fine) My existing ...

Re: Missing Games 2018

You're also missing Freedom: Rebels in the Darkness. There does exist the original French / German release, but the English version isn't on the list. I uploaded disk 1 here: https://archive.org/details/Freedom_Monkey_Business_AtariST_Disk But SPS lost my disk 2, and never returned it when I sent it...

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

I did buy a box of 300 ST Magazine floppy disks, but I've looked at them all, and they entire lot is useless

I've tried cleaning a few of them, but nothing helps. At least, I'll have some good label scans 8O

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

I dumped ST Action Disk 18, Armour-Geddon, and uploaded to dropbox. The image is a little surprising in that kier's disk-utilities can't make a working .ipf (well, not much of a surprise, really), but neither can HxC tools make a working .stx (slightly less surprising) an finally, neither can Aufit ...

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

Interesting about the cheap duplicators. What did they do in that case, create 'cracked' copies of the games? I've heard various people talking about budget games and in one case (In SPS), saying at least one release used a 'scene' crack on their release!! I knew budget releases were often double si...

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

Yeah. I asked the guys in the Atari-Forum if they were going to start including the images from Aufit, since some of them are quite cool/interesting. The sectors are aligned, they're just stepped. Look at a less stepped image below (ST Protector) which gives a nice wave effect. Your disk is more lik...

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

It's not really a mess, it's just a single sided disk. The right side, track 1, with all the red, is an unused side. On the left side, side 0, the bottom of the disk, it looks like there's 2 tracks with data? in the sector gap. Otherwise, the start sector is just rotated. There's info about it in th...

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

@MiggyMog, there's no harm in having more than one dump of a particular disk! It helps to verify if a disk is ok. The more, the better! Each disk, while having the same title, might be from a different publisher, for a different country, or even just be a different revision! So! Image all the disks ...

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

Look at the disk as an image in Aufit, or run Aufit in batch mode, and it'll create a txt file, and png which is a picture of the disk. If there's white spots/areas on the disk, those places may need cleaning. if there's orange, then those areas may be copy protection, or, may be damaged, or need cl...

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

It's never a bad idea to image more.

Perhaps the other persons dump is bad (and no one noticed), needs to be cleaned, or is a different revision or even a different language than yours.
Or, your own disk may have gone bad, and you didn't know.

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

Am I forgetting anything? Doesn't just have to be text! You can include a picture/scan of the disks/box etc if you like, and have them, too. But it looks like you're ready to go :) I like to include a png from Aufit and HxC, though, the HxC .stx files often don't work, so I often don't include that.

I uploaded Zero Issue 31, Disk 26.

It looks ok to me, and the ST/Amiga/PC demos all seem to work.
Can someone else confirm??
