Re: Custom Atari Hotz MIDI Translator Rackmount - 1U

Wow. Thanks for sharing. So the rack unit pictured in the photos above contains the MiST FPGA, emulating an Atari ST and running the Hotz software? I'd love to see more pictures about your rack mount computer. Yeah, MiST FPGA that auto-loads the Hotz software so it's super easy. It would be nice to...

Re: Custom Atari Hotz MIDI Translator Rackmount - 1U

So glad to see the forum is alive again! Here's my first real jam with the Hotz controller and translator software running to make it all possible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU0-cb-EOfY&t While I don't have it uploaded yet, I did create a nice sounding CyberPunk theme loop for one of the Jag g...

Custom Atari Hotz MIDI Translator Rackmount - 1U

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share a little project I have been working on sporadically this year, which is mostly done at this point. After much procrastination (mostly due to not having the time but now having tons of free time  ) I've finally managed to finish up my custom built one-off Atar...

Re: Interest check: Atari 4160ST badges

Agree with the STe statement Hazzardus made, as that's what mine would be going on as well but again, I suppose that's still limiting quite a few others.

Keeping disk mounted after powering off?

Is there no way for the config to save the disk you've mounted after powering off? I've of course saved config but it doesn't appear to retain the image I've attached, requiring you to go in and select the .ST file every single time.

Wanted: Internal Atari ST Disk Drive for STe

Hello all, Hoping someone here may have upgraded their ST/STe with a Gotek of sorts, pulling a working disk drive from their ST as a result and would possible be willing to sell it to me. I'm in the U.S. so for the sake of shipping it only makes sense to try and obtain from U.S. as well please. Appr...

Cubase .ST images

I know the links are out there for Cubase variants but none that I have found in .ST image format that I can just load up and go on my Gotek. I'm having problems with one of my other programs so I'm wondering if it's the machine or what's going on. If I can manage to get a version of Cubase to work ...

Power Switch used on MiST FPGA Help

Hi, :) Could someone please provide details in regards to the switch used on the MiST board? I'm designing a custom enclosure but need to route and wire up to an external switch that needs to match that of the board so that it functions accordingly. It's the last bit of info I need to finish this cu...

Re: a simple way to hide all Mist/Mister posts

I've been a purist myself for the longest time but even then, I'm kind of surprised by the amount of people seeming to have almost genuine hatred toward seeing anything regarding these MiST/Mister hardware devices/threads, especially considering they are directly related and quite specific to ST use...

Re: What are the current ST equivalent hardware replacements available?

The MISTs MIDI timing is very accurate. There are musicians who run several MISTs independently in parallel and they stay in sync accurate enough without actually being connected to each other. Yeah, but a real Atari also has very accurate timing and with Cubase it can route MIDI inputs to outputs ...

Re: What are the current ST equivalent hardware replacements available?

I only know of the MiST, with Midi Ports and a Steroids Mode with monochrome 1280x1024, 14MB of RAM, it is a nice ST replacement I think :) https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=45 I am considering myself buying one. Fantastic, thank you! Looks like I'll have to get it first thing next year. Can...

What are the current ST equivalent hardware replacements available?

Just out of curiosity in case I need to replace my STe in the near future, what (if any) hardware replacements are available today that will support MIDI? I checked out the Firebee site but it appears they only sell cases now and not the actual boards? Unless I'm missing something entirely. I could ...

Re: 1040 STE : floppy drive issue

I'm having similar issues with my STe and Gotek as well. Did you try a different USB drive and make sure it's under 4GB? My first one was working fine and then it would give me 2 bombs when trying to launch the hotz.prg , taking the USB to a PC and all the folders and file names are garbled and the ...
