Re: doom runs on the FPGA

But it's already done, have a look at https://github.com/bbond007/MiSTer_PrBoom-Plus.git That is what I referred to as Linux Doom as it is running on the Arm Linux core on the SoC. That and I am not a fan of PrBoom, it isn't accurate like chocolate or crispy doom nor does it have the networking of ...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

you will run into problem when you run Amiga games from Europe on a NTSC Amiga. And vice versa .. Test Drive is horrible if you accidentally play it in PAL mode, its subject to if the developer put in checks or coded it in a way that makes it less sensitive to the system frequency. (then there are ...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Most Amiga games aren't designed for NTSC. All the older original ones are .. Defender of the Crown, Test Drive, and many of the classics are too .. etc.. so I guess its your perspective that dictates the answer.. as I live in NTSC land, most of the games I care about/play ARE designed for NTSC, we...

Re: NeoGeo topic

The core was updated to the latest framework, but I don't think this should be the reason for glitches, have you tried an older version of the core to see if the glitches are there too?

Re: Bios Issue Maybe? Help!

Thank you, if you have a fan then heat is indeed no issue. Your RAM runs flawless at 130MHz, that should be more than sufficient (?), too. You confirmed that the neogeo.rbf is not damaged, either? I had the exact same error (and graphical corruption in many games) on the NeoGeo core with a faulty S...

Re: Atari ST core

I am not sure if this is a bug but I noticed that MegaSTE does not work if cache is enabled. 16MHz mode works without cache, but with cache I get massive graphics corruption. I will test more with different (and without any extensions loaded). EDIT. After updating Atari ST to latest version release...

Re: Bios Issue Maybe? Help!

As far as I understand it, the Memtest tries if the memory is stable at certain frequencies, I don't think the test tries if every byte of the memory chip itself is worling or not. For instance look at the built in memory test of the Atari ST, it takes about 2 minutes to check the 4 Megabyte RAM, f...

Re: It's no more a MiSTery

Great! Many thanks, wow the speed is now really impressive, Robocop 3 runs buttersmooth. I also saw that you fixed the text not showing on the grey screen in Robocop 3. Great work, one of the best cores on the MiST just got a lot better.

Re: Atari ST core

I did extract the file and renamed Atari3gb16.hd to Atari3gb16.vhd. I had to rename it to .vhd for the config to see the file so I can choose it. I am using WINSCP to xfer the file to my Mister. I xfer'ed 2 versions of Karateka using the WINSCP and they played fine. When I boot the AtariSt core to ...

I had the exact same error (and graphical corruption in many games) on the NeoGeo core with a faulty SD-RAM module that also passed the Memtest for more than 1 hour without errors. SD-RAM module. Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

With the update from half an hour ago Minimig stopped working for me entirely, no matter the vsync_adjust, resolution or region setting, as well as Amiga config (A500 or A1200). I confirmed that the updated core was downloaded correctly by comparing checksums of the core file on my MiSTer and the c...

Re: Atari ST core

Sorry if I missed this but are there any plans to support. STX as well as .ST disc formats. I have one obscure game I used to play as a kid and can only find .STX files of it. I actually found it on eBay a few years back and picked it up but playing it means getting the ST out and setting it up and...

Ah, thanks for the info, as the core has the options XL and XL+Basic, I always thought the basic is disabled by default when using the XL option.

No sound here either, with OS-A I have sound in the title screen, with OS-B it is completely silent and I didn't got it working with the XL rom at all, despite my version says it's XL only. I tried a XEX file.

Do you try to run the Amiga in PAL or NTSC? The stutter looks like you are displaying the PAL Amiga on a 60Hz Display.

It works again without changing anything, no idea why. Loading works fine too, didn't realised that I need to use case sensitive filenames before.
