Re: Kid friendly ST games

Well, you can try our game, we just released: Whack A Virus. You do need mono monitor, tho. (or mono screen in emulator)... Should be easy enough and no gore, etc. We had kids in mind, so kids level mode starts slow... http://yescrew.atari.org

Re: Whack a Virus! Official release

I tried the latest ST image you uploaded. The only problem I have is when the game attempts to exit to the Desktop. I only have Hatari since original hardware is getting more rare and expensive in the USA. I am using a UK version of 1.04. Hi, Yes exit on TOS 1.00 and 1.04 is problematic, and it doe...

Re: Whack a Virus! Official release

Do like the system friendliness, one only drawback tho on Falcon with VGA crt, palette is not saved so I get a too bright mono screen at exit. I use rather greyish style palette to get more of a real mono monitor feel to it. This is odd, pallete is saved and restored on exit. The emulated mode have c...

Re: Jigsaw Puzzle

Hi For best results, you should not use pictures that are dithered on system pallete (i reckon they were dithered in gfx app while using nvdi and thus without nvdi they mess collors). Its better to dither them in best possible way, and then set pallete for each picture. Of course, you need to save s...

Re: MiNT 1-18-0 broke my Milan Keyboard

Hi Sorry for late answer: ALL you need to do, is to change gemcon variable in naes.cnf to false, so gemcon = false. Mint obviously changed console behaviour... similar as mint kernels dropped virtual consoles support after 1.15, which is stupid, imho. There are other weird choices with new kernels, ...

Re: SNDH Files (Grazey Zak Hacks) include in GFA?

Anyway, there is yet another new command in GBE: size%=FILELEN(path$). So i made a small example, which uses new commands (FILELEN, UNPACK, SNDH). It also switch betwen subtunes. Switch only skip to next tune, and after it skip over the last tune, it will crash. One need to read number of subtunes f...

Re: SNDH Files (Grazey Zak Hacks) include in GFA?

Hi. resurfacing this thread, LOL. I managed to make the inline work for the provided example in MaxYMiser. Flawless. Then I replaced the SND file by Atomino.snd (un-iced version), and GfA mentions 2 bombs as above. Yes, I adapted the inline size. But it does not work. Greetings, Gunstick/ULM I am a...

A simple end-user tool would be highly appreciated too. I have written a small dumb tool. Essentially its just fileselector and it call new_pic.ttp after user choose TGA. Saved file is missing .hex ending, and for the sake i dont have a clue why. ;) If i use .ttp with same parameters all is ok, may...

Re: CosmosEx - new device for your Atari ST

Z,

I was wondering, but lack HW knowledge: would it be hard to add hardware reset option to CosmosEX? In games or demos, ctrl/alt/del dont work... It would be nice, if we could control reset on HW level from browser as well: load image, upload, reset.
