Re: Troubleshooting network setup on aranym

This is the script I use for internet in BeePi, Beekey and EasyAraMint. This script came from Aranym Wiki if I remember well. It works well under latest Debian Buster and also various Ubuntu though I have not tested above 18.04. # Set network bridge # Read host_ip atari_ip from /h/.system/config of ...

Re: BeePi 1.0

I have finally bought a RPI 4 and I am working on updating BeePi to Raspbian Buster.
So far the migration goes on well, many things to change but nothing impossible.

Re: BeePi 1.0

Sorry, I wrote too fast, I was talking about JIT FPU which is not implemented, BeePi is already build with JIT CPU.

Re: Noob question about BeePi

Hello Do you plan to make a version that launches hatari directly? Thank you I can do that, but only for Windows... It's easy... My knowledge in linux & Mac are equal to zero... Hi Playmobil, I am glad to see that you are still an heavy user and supporter of BeeKey. I am back in France for 1 year n...

Re: BeePi 1.0

Thank you. I have not abandoned BeePi development, but big changes in my life life and lack of time have obliged me to put BeePi, and also BeeKey, on hold for some time. Regarding Aranym JIT for ARM, as I am not part of Aranym development team, it’s more a question to ask them. I believe that a JIT ...

Hi,

No, but there is already Rastari doing that.

Re: Noob question about BeePi

Hi, I changed the shortcut in BeePi 1.0 and forgot to update the Manual. fortunately the blog message was correct ;-) Unified shortcuts for Aranym and Hatari : altgr + F12 for setup menu, altgr+Q to quit, altgr+R to reboot. Playmobil answer is the right one if you want to start a game or a demo dire...

Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

Sorry guys but I don’t have time to continue BeeKey and BeePi development now.
I don’t give up, but for the next 2 years I won’t have the necessary time to do it.
All the system files are stored in the directory /H/.system if you want to modify it. BeePi is the most up to date install.

Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

I am happy that you found a solution to use it.
I have originally tested Beekey on a Macbook with OSX 10.6.8 and 10.11 and it was working flawlessly.
Now with a more recent version of OSX, I don’t know.
USB booting on Mac is not an easy topic.

As far as your PC can boot on the SD card, it should work.
Also, there is an HD installer for BeeKey on my site , should you want to install it permanently on a hard drive.

Do you plan to "port" it? Yes, but I need a Raspi 4 and time, and right now I don’t have nor one nor the ot...

Re: BeePi 1.0ground

I noticed on Kronos, you can load a profile for aranym_pi3_jit and it is actually faster than the beepi as the results show (jit results listed as "Raspberry Pi 3B", Beepi results as "Your computer" ): kronos.png So I assume Beepi isn't using the ARAnyM J(ust)I(n)T(ime) version. Am I correct in thi...

Re: BeeKey Atari on a key and now BeePi

Yes it can be updated, but it’s not an easy task as each new version of Aranym can bring some incompatibility, and in the case of BeeKey you need to know how to build a system image. I will update it, it’s not a question of “if” but more a question of “when” as I don’t have access right now to my de...

Re: BeePi 1.0

As Wongck said, it’s an issue with your router. I have tested with different routers, 2 were working correctly with the default setup, and 1 was not working. The workaround is to configure BeePi bridge address on a different subnetwork than your router. If your router address is 192.168.1.1, then se...

Re: BeePi 1.0

Yes the Rapi3 proc isn’t fast enough to run Netsurf at a confortable speed. May be the Rapi4 improves it a little bit, but BeePi isn’t compatible yet with the Pi4. With a fast Intel proc it is usable if the site doesn’t use https. It’s sad to say, but browsing a modern web page needs a lot of power ...

Re: fVDI 2 bombs at Aranym 1.1.0

Have you deactivated the NVDI video drivers, and modified Fvdi.sys with the right parameters?
By the way, I have only tested it with NVDI 5.03. I don’t know if other version may run.

Re: fVDI 2 bombs at Aranym 1.1.0

Hi, Yes, it works. I did a setup like this many years ago, but I don’t use it any longer , as FVDI is breaking the compatibility of many apps, and the interest for me to run TOS 4.04 is to have the best compatibility, so I prefer now to run TOS 4.04 with NVDI + Videl Inside. Anyway, you can have a l...

Re: Hatari loads slow and reports errors on RPi3B running Raspbian

Excellent news !!!
Have you tried the version of SDL2 from retropie ? It works under the console and is accelerated, so it shouldn’t put the cpu under stress and allows you to use Hatari video scaling.
Can you post your hatari config file ? it will be good for others to replicate.

Re: Hatari loads slow and reports errors on RPi3B running Raspbian

Use a basic usb to midi interface recognized by RaspBian : mostly all work :-) I am afraid that’s more Cubase accurate emulation which drains the RPI3. May be a better setup could improve the synchronization? I believe that Midi on a RPI3 definitely needs to be investigated deeper. Unfortunately, I ...

Re: Hatari loads slow and reports errors on RPi3B running Raspbian

Hi, Well, the easy and fast answer to your need is : “install BeePi “ which is already optimized for RPI3 (see link in my signature) But as BeePi also include Aranym and a complete Mint OS, it could be too much for you. It’s up to you. Now, if you want to build Hatari to run on a Pi, it’s kind of tr...
