Did you ever find the software and docs? I have an ST with the 16mhz version I believe. 520ST will not boot so I can't get to the software at all. I may need both when I get a new machine to place the accelerator in.
Thanks,
Rah

Re: RatSoft
So, Rahman, I screwed up in that last reply. I was mixed up in several ways when I wrote it. First, socat *may* work for you under Windows without cygwin. I came across some Windows socat binaries . Second, socat is not the telnet->serial bridge; that's tcpser. See, tcpser was created to work speci...

Re: RatSoft
If you're using Windows, I'm not sure socat will do the trick. Socat wants to run in a unix environment, so it would only run under Windows in Cygwin or something similar. So you'll need something different serve as a telnet->serial bridge. Maybe tsb.py ? I'm not sure. I don't have Windows myself. ...

Re: RatSoft
I feel pretty confident you could get an emulator to run RatSoft. I figured out a way to telnet to BBSes from terminal programs running in Hatari using a telnet->serial program called tcpser4j on my Mac. Tcpser was created to do more or less what the Lanatronix does, but in software. It was develop...

Re: RatSoft
Well...Unfortunately I plugged the machine into a flat tv with an NTSC analog tuner via the output on the back and tuned to channels 2, 3, and 4. I only see a white screen on channel 2 no matter if I select H or L for channel selection on the computer. I don't have a mouse, or atari monitor so I don...

Re: RatSoft
Tillek, I got your PM but could not reply due to not having posted three things here yet. I appreciate your offer for help... I'll probably take you up on that! I also jumped on your BBS and wow! A blast from the past! Love RatSoft.. Left you a message there as well. :) Best Regards, RAHMAN...King o...

Re: RatSoft
That would be cool. I love the resurrected BBSes, especially the ones with caches of old messages. So much of that stuff is in danger of being lost. --Josh It would be just as it was the day it went offline. I imagine I would have to the y2k fix that some people mentioned earlier in this or another...

Re: RatSoft
Wow! So glad I searched for Ratsoft BBS and located this place! I used to run a RatSoft BBS back in the day named "The Ghetto! BBS". (Early 90s) It ran on a 520ST modded with 4MB of Ram and I also replaced the 68000 with a 68020 & I believe it ran at 25Mhz. I also had 690MB of hard drive space and h...
