Mmm...

For floppies I don't want to read or write them but extracting and adding files into floppy images would be really nice. The mtools (mdir, mcopy ...) have a command line option (-i ?) to work with disk images instead of real floppies. I believe daeghnao already wrote something about it, maybe in th...

Don't trust too much what fdisk printed since it says that the partition table doesn't look like a partition table. /dev/sdd3 is probably the only device created by the kernel. If there was a FAT filesystem on sdd1 and nothing on sdd3, the kernel would have created the /dev/sdd1 device but not /dev/...

If failed, you'll have to rebuild your kernel with support for more filesystems. I don't know which ones.
fdisk may help if it works on your SD card: Look at the partitions table and you may have a clue.
Code: Select all
mount -v /dev/sdd3 /mnt

I'm not the appropriate person to answer that , I don't use Atari/Mint (not even a real Atari these times). But I know Linux. mke2fs and mkfs.ext2 should be exactly the same program with two names. mke2fs Usage: %s ... The "usage" display looks broken, it should say: Usage: mke2fs ... Use it withou...

The last resort is probably to use a PC program which does Bezier curves (like Gimp) on a snapshot of the emulator's screen: you plot points around the shape of what you want and curves are drawn to link them.

Back on the stolen code of FileDisk and VDK . I have spent some time at reading both codes, and it appears that the author of VDK didn't rewrite the code of FileDisk at all but copied large portions of it and split them in several of his own files. He took the time to put his copyright on each of h...

I didn't mean that they are released under a different license, but under a different copyright holder . Obviously, and I guess we agree, I can't get your code (with your copyright), and release it under my own copyright, disregarding any licensing issues. We agree, you can't take my source files, ...

VDK is based on FileDisk. And it is Vox Populi that FileDisk is (originally) stolen code. I noted that VDK has a different copyright than FileDisk, so technically, it might be not exactly derived from FileDisk. I don't know from the legal point of view, but morally, it smells the same thing, still ...

We already know your position about what is free and what is not. Please don't start again with this here. "non-free" wasn't an attack against Pasti, Ijor. It's the (neutral) expression of a (hippie ?) culture rather than an aggressive word. I'll keep your reaction (and RG's) in mind and avoid usin...

Because format is closed, we can not know additional informations what Pasti image stores. Beyond that, Pasti depends on a healthy and motivated Ijor to maintain it, like all the "non-free" projects (Steem, PaCifiST, makedisk ...). Their fate is enough to say that with only one shaman left, I fear ...

Your compiler might have restrictions on the size of the DATA (and TEXT) segments (remember the msdos "tiny" memory model). But why would it on Atari ? Maybe you could try to dynamically allocate your data, the compiler couldn't complain at compilation time, it would give you a better grasp on what ...
