Re: Happy computers 1050 upgrade board
Looks like it might be for the Atari 8 bit range, do you have a more zoomed out picture? It's photo'd to the size of the board, zooming out wont help as what you see if what there is. The other side is the usual pins to plug in. yes it is for the 8-bit atari, but i dont know what happy it's for. do...

Re: Replacement for and Ajax info needed
I changed everything over, i repaired, made the clipped ic's good, the failed motherboard just to make sure it was faulty and yep would only fire up to desktop, no floppies detected! I removed the HD mod on it and fitted it to the other, didnt bother with the old serial port mod. Just awaiting a rep...

Re: Installing HD drive in Atari STe
You need to make sure you have the Ajax floppy controller. Atari STe most definitely did not have one from the factory. It was an add on install. http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/custom-i.htm#Ajax Strange because mine has a factory installed ajax? Well 2 of them have, a 1989 mobo and a 1991 mobo!

Re: Replacement for and Ajax info needed
The ic isn't a problem as it's designed that way. Just looks like a newer mobo. Everything works, checked it before stripping down.
Going to see if I can get this this up n running.

http://cdn-reichelt.de/bilder/web/artikel_ws/B400/DSN6.jpg It is such a part ? It has three pins, simply use a wire between pin 1+3 ... Confused.com! Are you saying connect them together? I keep forgetting that you can blow holes clear with a hot air station. As long as I rember rule 2, keep finger...

Re: Replacement for and Ajax info needed
I've tried to get five out so far, they sort of disintegrate, they are so fragile and a very tight fit. Was wondering if I replaced it will new.
I got the knacker one out, well it was knackered and that came out in strips.

Re: Replacement for and Ajax info needed
No it's the three pin inductor in blue, just under the shield near the monitor socket near where the psu foot sits. Usual stick screw driver under board and prise the mounts right at the back out.
Will try a photo tomorrow, but the seems lots of these, presumably same component.

Happy computers 1050 upgrade board
I have a small happy board marked HCI HC1050G on the board. It has a SY6502 on the left, an IC at the top and empty socket at the bottom. From what I gather it needs some sort of happy eprom fitted. I have no idea on this and can't find any instructions for it on the web. This board is brand new and...

Re: CosmosEx - new device for your Atari ST
actually, for me WiFi support is a lot more than 'nice to have' My router is in another room therefore I would avoid a return to the Ethernet cable. Well I use a nifty device for ethernet to go wireless, to enable to go wireless. Do an eBay search for buffalo 300n. I use one for falcon in a back be...

Re: CosmosEx - new device for your Atari ST
With the new Pi being released, B+, at the same price as the old version means there are going to be plenty of model b's being sold by people who want the latest version and at a very good price - just picked one up for £17. I dont think you would gain any advantages using a B+ with CosmosEx. I look...
