MIDI player for TOS?

I have a lot of nice MIDI files on my Mega STE. And from time to time I like to play them on my Yamaha MU90R rack synthesizer. So ususlly I open them in Cubase 3.01 or Notator. But that is a bit unhandy as these masterpieces of software are not made to just play music, so I have to manually load the...

It also should work over parallel printer port. There is such a solution in vcfed forum for IBM PCs, it only uses 3 signals. http://www.vcfed.org/forum/showthread.p ... OS-ver-1-1

@nagual, thanks, this looks promising, the readme talks about microtek and umax. I will test. (By the way, I am just 20 km away from you)

Anyhow, other (newer?) versions and the Pro are still welcome.

Searching: ScanX or ScanXPro Software (Microtek SCSI scanner)

Hello all, found a new old toy of me, sitting in a dark corner of my storage room, my 1st good scanner... - a Microtek Scanmaker E330 flatbed SCSI scanner. Back in time I used it with Windows, but now the question was, can I use it with my TT? So I am looking for a special scanner software for my TT...

Re: Improving feel of ST/Falcon keyboard.

Buy a good/cheap rubber dome keyboard for PC, open it and figure out if you can use it's rubber domes in the ST keyboard. I did that long time ago and found round single rubber domes in such a keyboard (taiwan no name brand PS/2 style keyboard) which perfectly fitted inside the ST keyboard. This is ...

Re: Issue with copying large directory trees from GEMDOS drive do ACSI partition

By the way, also WIndows 10 1909 file explorer gets in trouble when selecting hundreds of Gigabytes with hundred thousands of files in the folder, when moving that from one drive to another. "Robocopy" is my friend there... Every OS has it's limitations... Impossible? I had to move my ATARI, Amiga, ...

I have seen that issue as well on my TT using MiNT and connected to my Windows server using NFS. It was easy to fix, use Kobold 3.5.

Unless you are using TOS 1.00 and very old AHDI this is totally wrong.

ATARI hotel in Phoenix, Arizona

Hello, unbelieveable, some times the reality takes over the satire... Do you know Kamelopedia? That's a german satire wiki, ok sometimes a bit stupid, but some times quite genious. They have an artice "Hotelfüher Hamburg" (Hamburg Hotel Guide). Ok, it*s not Phoenix in Arizona, and it's not Las Vegas...

Re: New SuperVidel & some ideas for future development.

Sorry for the off topic, but again if we could have a cheap upgrade to bring most standard STs to Falcon like graphics, we might see a nice surge of development for it. Then again, maybe Atari thought that about the STe. Just forget it! By the way, when the production of new Super Videl starts? I w...

I have BJ 330, and it works with driver for Epson LQ or IBM proprinter in Word plus. It depends on dipswitches on the back side of the printer, I can select Epson and IBM mode. Unfortunatelly the print head is jammed, needs a cleanup or spare.

Re: TT Base ram to 8 MB

I have to check. I have three TT, one is DIL, the other is SMD, the 3rd I don't know, just got it recently and did not open it yet. But I still don't understand that cable, Simbo and Lynxman's modification work without such a cable. Is it still possible to place the harddisk between the PS/2 SIMMs? ...

Re: TT Base ram to 8 MB

Two questions:

1. Is that board for the DIL or SMD style ST-RAM-board?
2. Why that wire? The upgrade by Simbo and the one from Lynxan do not need that extra wire.

I am interested in up to three of these boards, dependimg on question 1.

Re: mass storage ct63 > 128GB

I have seen your thread in the german forum. Yes, it's the best to put the TOS partitions at the beginning of the medua, and the ext2/fat32 partitions at the end, this is more compatible and it will avoid gaps in the drive letters under plain tos. The other thing I agree is it's always good to have ...
