Re: Req : "Audio Sculpture" (STX,...) even not running...

Interesting additional info, I also had issue converting disk 2 to stx with aufit and instead used hxc software. The converted 1 would not boot in steam but as I had already done it with pasti I was not too bothered. The scp of disk 1 worked in Steem however

Re: Printing 6 lines of text in 4-planes font in less than 1 vbl

Maybe it is already dealt with but it occurs to me that an 8 pixel wide font is going to use maximum of 8 colours/ 3 planes per line so there may be a further optimisation there?

Re: Odd STe behavior. 1084S TOS is stable, otherwise rolling screen.

It certainly sounds like v-sync issue with 50/60 hz. I think there are a few programs out there to switch hz and also most crack menus have a key to switch it so that would be worth trying that? If the desktop was rolling then you may expect issues but as that is fine I guess it's a us TOS ver and e...

Re: New document at Atari Museum

Yes and the spec for the AMY with it's 8 channel 64 osc additive synth but also needed a DAC OR two. How awesome would it have been if it had worked and this was in your ST since 1985. It was bloody ambitious, even something half as good would have been groundbreaking.

Re: Games that spectacularly fail to live up to billing....

I was quite disappointed on playing the demo of chaos engine after all STE enhanced hype, it just reminded me a bit of other similar games like crackdown. The in game graphics were awesome, sound was shitty, scrolling didn't seem like it used hardware scrolling and gameplay was meh. Cannon fodder wa...

Re: GOEX for ST in the making

Were you maybe planning to open source pasti so that the flashfloppy firmware could support the format Ijor? This along with support for MSA would be awesome ( sources for that are out there which it maybe an idea to ask Keir to support?).

Great Idea, well done! I love the fact it's such a cheap solution and doesn't need the case to come off. I guess the downside is that you need to rely on the floppy to boot.

Awesome work! I need to check these out some time. As you have added all the alt hardware for playing sound, have you considered also adding support for sample playback cartridge / replay too? I have playback cart kicking about. The disk images with source are on atarimania. I did also wonder if the...

Re: GOEX for ST in the making

This is a really neat option compared to hacking up a regular Gotek case. I would have bought one immediately( the price as it is very reasonable) if I had not just bought and modified 3 gotek drives already and I also bought one of Zaxxon's Microgotek not long before setting this. I thank everyone ...

Pasti image dumps are not supported firectly by gotek flash floppy device. You would need to convert somehow

Such a shame about the whole AMY fiasco. It would have been awesome to have to have that chip working in time. This doc partially explains why the early ROM was just a bootstrap with the rest on disk. £££

Re: Save a data table to disk

What happens if you stick a semi-colon after the print statement? (Does GFA have a default linefeed, other basics need println for a newline) I am not really a GFA user but a thought is that tab is a reserved command? maybe rename your array? another thought is that you may need to clean your data o...
