Re: First MOD Engine

Noisetracker was the first proper tracker I seen and used and a great thing to mess around with my mastersound samples with. Other than that I also used the amazing Quartet, not so much a tracker I guess though.. The info on DHS seems to reckon Sound Machine was an earlier digital tracker. I think s...

That sounds too good to be true. I have STM / FM . You would be mad to swap though? Curious as to why?

Cheers! I must have been thinking of ' sam edit '

LP, Ironic that your user-id ( shown on quoting) is '525' when we are talking sample things, given that is the name of a sample converter prog!

Does anyone have an archive of the abandoned projects page from yonder year? I could swear this was on that site?

Re: Floppy Disk Stream Image Repository

I really should upload the scp's and stx's I have done. I think the good images are mostly archived already and I had a lot where the png showed muck on the disks mostly these were disks I acquired. So I should work out if any of the bad ones are missing, clean with IPA, re-image and upload. It woul...

Re: Selectric 2.02 - replacement file selector

Although there are programs that can access MSA or ST image contents, these file types are disk images and should be written to a disk for use or loaded into a gotek USB flash drive with flashfloppy (ST images at moment MSA not supported so must be converted using msa converter or the like). You may...

I think canvas also had seq extension for some things. You could use something like probe ST / adrenalin ripper to spy on file to see if graphics?

The Audio sculpture tracker has some midi functionality too and can also capture sounds from any connected Sound sampler cart

Re: Req : "Audio Sculpture" (STX,...) even not running...

Interesting additional info, I also had issue converting disk 2 to stx with aufit and instead used hxc software. The converted 1 would not boot in steam but as I had already done it with pasti I was not too bothered. The scp of disk 1 worked in Steem however

Re: Printing 6 lines of text in 4-planes font in less than 1 vbl

Maybe it is already dealt with but it occurs to me that an 8 pixel wide font is going to use maximum of 8 colours/ 3 planes per line so there may be a further optimisation there?

Re: Odd STe behavior. 1084S TOS is stable, otherwise rolling screen.

It certainly sounds like v-sync issue with 50/60 hz. I think there are a few programs out there to switch hz and also most crack menus have a key to switch it so that would be worth trying that? If the desktop was rolling then you may expect issues but as that is fine I guess it's a us TOS ver and e...

Re: New document at Atari Museum

Yes and the spec for the AMY with it's 8 channel 64 osc additive synth but also needed a DAC OR two. How awesome would it have been if it had worked and this was in your ST since 1985. It was bloody ambitious, even something half as good would have been groundbreaking.

Re: Games that spectacularly fail to live up to billing....

I was quite disappointed on playing the demo of chaos engine after all STE enhanced hype, it just reminded me a bit of other similar games like crackdown. The in game graphics were awesome, sound was shitty, scrolling didn't seem like it used hardware scrolling and gameplay was meh. Cannon fodder wa...

Were you maybe planning to open source pasti so that the flashfloppy firmware could support the format Ijor? This along with support for MSA would be awesome ( sources for that are out there which it maybe an idea to ask Keir to support?).
