Atari 1040 STe with 68010: newdesk.inf boot problems

Ok having trouble with my mega Ste too, 68000 not working either so will have to look at it first. In the ste I get faint interlaced flash of bomb icons, can't count how many as its too quick. It resets and repeats. I was expecting the ste to fail and mega Ste to work. Will try to sort the mega Ste ...

WTS: Atari Stacy II in USA

Nativ, yes on lcds you get this problem. Easy way to fix is to pack the screen with soft padding near to the edge of the screen. Something like foam from a sheet. This will aid applying pressure to the required area. To fix it properly requires separating the layers which is not viable with out very...

Project: (M)STE PLCC -> DIL solder adapter

Just measure. Top of the CPU socket (pin43) to the PSU is 25mm (1")
Distance from PSU to front of pcb is 110mm (4.25").
Distance from left of CPU socket to cartridge port shield 63mm (2.5")
All sizes are tight, reduce to allow a gap for installing.

Hope this is what you wanted to know.

Lol gunstar, dark willow is correct, it's a USB floppy drive emulator.
You use a USB stick, select the disk number on the side and format to the desired format. Disk 00 is interchangeable with a pc/mac.
So can store 100 disks on one stick.

Replaces the floppy drive and is plug and play. Not too expensive either.

Not judging ( I'm just as guilty on many other items, just don't tell the wife ;) ) thought you might have more information about it to help answer the original post :)

Atari STE Modifcation. What is it?

Looks feasible.

http://cd.textfiles.com/crawlycrypt1/pr ... 400bps.eng

This is the instructions for a 38400 baud rate.
It appears to use pins 7 and 18 of the MFP so it would suggest its a version of this modification.

Atari 1040 STe with 68010: newdesk.inf boot problems

So if there was 'hypothetically speaking' a TOS version that supports the 68010, will there still be an issue with the software running on top?
I'm assuming that if the software is compatible with st and tt/falcon then it should only be a limited issue.

The first game I remember was a platform game called 'lock and key', painstakingly hand typed from a magazine on to my Sinclair QL. Still have the QL and the magazine I think somewhere.

Atari 1040 STe with 68010: newdesk.inf boot problems

My bad, my understanding from other post previous was that it was the internal code with in the tos roms that the applications were calling were giving the issue. How I see it if the tos roms can get to a desktop and stay stable until you perform and action, then its patchable, won't be pretty but p...

And keep the ideas going. There is a concept out there called DESIGN. Each letter stands for a word, each word goes into a room and all you can do in that room is what the word is. These word rooms are DREAM (dream up an idea, regardless of cost, possibility or realisticness. Anything goes here, phy...

The processor chip is the same but the circuit board on the mega st and internal keyboards are of a solid pcb type and each are different sizes s cannot be swapped, the mega ste and tt are a flexible plastic material (Mylar), so there are 3 different circuits here that cannot be swapped. I know the ...
