Re: soundtracker songs

Not sure what you're asking about, but that's a nice track, and if you do a .mod version, this will be interesting to hear. 🙂

Re: New Atari setup... monitor and mouse problems

Yes any VGA screen can normally handle ST monochrome, with the basic ST -> VGA adapter you can find (the one you got then).
The problem seems more about configuration on your screen, maybe actually inaccessible configuration on its interface.

Re: New Atari setup... monitor and mouse problems

You don't have an old PC with VGA out either?
It would help to check if the monitor is the faulty element. :)

Re: Atari White Screen at Boot

Some said in the past to try WD40 on the switch.
Replacements can be found: https://centuriontech.eu/product/reset_sw/
But considering the price, better be sure it's the actual problem. :o

The reset button can sometimes be broken, leaving the computer in perpetual reset state.

Re: Converting YM to SND ?

You must be after some super rare tunes if, to you, the .ym tracks from that Leonard archive cannot be found as .snd. ;) Maybe if you show us to the .ym tunes you would like to have as .snd, then some experts around could recognize those and point to you the .snd versions in the SNDH archive? :) Als...

Re: Converting YM to SND ?

I don't think so. I think there's some software that can replay .ym files on a real ST though. But considering .ym files are logged YM registers dumps and not the original music players code, you're better off searching the tunes you got as .ym in their .snd form through the SNDH archive : http://sn...

Re: Looking for someone to record Atari ST and Atair 8-bit music (will pay)

I could record the ST tracks from the real machine as i do for the tracks of mine i put on soundcloud (Mega-ST as source, M-Audio Firewire Audiophile interface as recording interface). I would then need the exact SNDH file and subtune number, or each game disk image and the way to get to the tune (h...

OK, i just tried the game : - PPera's HD version, "OBSESS.ZIP", - on a fresh download of "Steem.SSE.4.1.0.Win64.D3D.R6.zip", - running it with "TOS v1.62 (1990)(Atari Corp)(STE)(UK)", - and using GEMDOS hard drive emulation. The game's working, and i can long press down...

Maybe you got some accessibility functionality activated on your OS?
Have you tried it on Hatari, just to compare?

Fixed in latest release. ;)

Re: Questions about MaxYMiser

Can anyone explain what native mode is for DMA? It sounds like you can have higher fidelity samples, at the cost of not being able to play them at different pitches? Yes, that's the principle of this "native" mode exactly. Also this mode use almost 0% more CPU for the samples, great for S...

Really great achievement already, and great to see your regular Twitter posts showing videos of the progress.
I noticed that the music is sometimes lagging slightly on the videos, i guess the 68000 sometimes reach full consumption. Maybe this will be prevented in the v1.0 ? :)

Re: Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge - STE enhanced (WIP)

On removing scenery elements:

Still, if having less roadside scenery could be an option to get smoother visuals, this may be worth adding as a game setup option.
Especially (only?) in two players mode, where the challenge of racing with each other is the main aspect of the mode.

Re: Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge - STE enhanced (WIP)

If you don't want two exectuables and that the 6.25khz samplerate is good enough for you, you can also extend the samples to 12.5khz for Falcon, by doubling the values. This should be precaculated of course, if you don't want a delay.
