Re: CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

Following your advice i did: find \test -name "*" -print > \test.lst ; \sha256.ttp --crc32 < \test.lst > \test.sfv It lists the files in "\test.lst" OK. But then i don't know what sha256.ttp processes, because it just outputs "174b6618 -" in "\test.sfv". I also tried the same thing with two separate...

Re: CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

a) not sure about okami handles this, but you normally have to quote "*", otherwise it is already expanded by the shell b) the "{}" is only need by the -exec option of find, not for xargs d) Singletos normally does not understand "/" as path separator On all this, Okami commands documentation show ...

Re: CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

Mupfel default "PROFILE" file (re-)creation doesn't seem to work as it should, so it must be created by hand from the startup "PROFILE" file. After that i tried to to figure the "find" command, which is pretty cryptic (why that ';' requirement after the executed command ?? OK for ; but why in quotes...

Re: CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

Ah searching for "gmni1a.tos", i came across this website: https://traveller.gxis.de/FAN/APP/GEMINI/FILES.HTML
It seems to have latest Mupfel version.

Re: CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

Well i am stuck with Okami, almost doing what i need, but... Result is properly written to file when i do: /sha256.ttp --crc32 /test/test.tst >/test.sfv Yet it doesn't manage to redirect the output to a file when doing: find /test -name * -print | xargs /sha256.ttp --crc32 {} >/test.sfv or find /tes...

Re: CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

I didn't manage to find Mupfel anywhere. I tried finding info on possible .ttp handling by Kobold. But either it got none, either my ultra-low german understanding doesn't see it in the german PDF manual i found. So i am currently experiencing Okami Shell, and it seems quite enough for my need...

Re: CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

Strange. How does it know then which algorithm to use? The hashes for MD4 and MD5 for example are both 16 characters long. Mistake from me on this! :o I actually checked after your comment, and... the file extension is different. .sfv is only for CRC32, for md5, it's .md5, etc... :) I will try mupf...

Re: CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

Ah yes i was hoping for some command line based shell, never used on before on ST/Falcon. That will be cool to experience. :) Sorry if i sound newbie on this, especially considering my mileage on these platforms. But i actually never had to do extensive "advanced" file treatment before. Kobold, or m...

Re: CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

Ah many thanks for this. ".sfv" file format is quite what sha256.ttp generate but reversed. It lists filenames (and relatives sub-paths if generated on a directory with sub-directories) and their calculated checksum after, on each line. I think i can work with sha256.ttp, but i wonder if i can redir...

CRC32 / .sfv checker on ST/Falcon ?

So i transferred a lot of files to the Falcon, newly equipped with a SD card to IDE adapter. And after that, running some of the programs, i found one not working... making me think of a bad transfer... So i would like to check all the files, ideally with the common CRC32 .sfv file format. So i coul...

Re: Not really a hardware issue but...

I never had success on using ST formatted disks on PC, but always the opposite. I am talking about 720kb disks. I format them with the methods described here: http://www.minuszerodegrees.net/5150_5160/720k/windows_formatting_720k.htm But apparently, when using USB floppy drive, it's gamble to get on...

I remember trying Persistence Of Vision renderings with a version given on a disk of the french ST Magazine. Ah yes, a really fun game this is! Thanks for coding and sharing it! It plays quite like a single element version of Atomix (and Sokoban). I haven't yet met those "opinionated" blocks. ;) I wonder what they do... ( probably forcing the ball movement on contact) [after more playing] OK, the ball is m...

Ah yes OK, retried it.
I guess i was seeing it as a such a basic breakout clone, that i didn't even try moving up or down on the first try, eh.
Sorry for missing this then. ;)
