Incredible stuff! You did hint at a fast raytracer. I was wondering if it meant a real-time raytracer. With POV-Ray, even a simple scene at 80*50 without all the details enabled takes a minute or two. To get someting in real-time would imply a couple of orders of magnitude speed-up. I briefly tested the new public built in Hatari.

Lightmaps seem to be a bit messed up. Here is a screenshot from ikdm4 in color mode.

It also happens in mono mode. It seems to me that something doesn't use the proper dimensions.

I tested the engine on a regular 14MB Falcon.
It runs at about the same speed than the previous version I tried but with a lot less noticeable texture popping. That week-end was well spent! ;)
The outdoor lighting in IKDM4 is really nice, with its soft shadows.

I briefly tried this version on Hatari 1.8 this morning and it works fine.
The surface caching is definitively improved, good job!
I'll try it on my real Falcon tonight.

I'm using the Windows version of Hatari. The command "hatari_falcon.exe --help" doesn't do anything. Do you have fast RAM? Which FPU version you have? Any other modifications to stock Falcon? The Falcon doesn't have any fast RAM. It's a 14 MB Falcon with 68882 FPU and 4GB CF.
