Re: Falcon woes (aka the story continues...)

Hi, clean the contacts of the ROMport and perhaps bend them carefully a bit to get better contact. Also have a look if the weight (the pressure) of the plugged USB cable perhaps "moves" the NetUSBee in a way that contact is lost in ROMport. Did you fit something underneath NetUSBee to make sure that...

Re: Falcon issues - very confusing

Hi, seems that these are not your best days...but don´t give up! For Falcon, as it works without IDE HD: ROMS, RAM and clocking should be fine. Remains a mechanical damage at the IDE connector on MB, possible one or more "broken" (oxidated, bad) solder points. Perhaps you can see suspicious ones wit...

Re: Falcon issues - very confusing

Hi, as problems are in 030 and 060 mode, check: - ST-RAM - lift and re-seat the TOS-ROMS on MB (socket problems). Check other connectors, too. - if possible, check clock frequencies at all available points (DSP, FPU...) - what happens if you start the Falcon without any HD connected (in 030 mode)? L...

Re: New Firmware, FPGA Configuration and FireTOS

Hi,

AFAIK there´s no version output about BaS and FPGA in "normal" usage, but it´s displayed if you use a nullmodem cable
and an external computer with a console. http://firebee.org/fb-bin/page?label=se ... bug&lng=EN

Re: New Firmware, FPGA Configuration and FireTOS

Hi, -- I flashed BaS (didn't see the dots light up in FLASH060.PRG -- then I flashed FPGA (same thing, see above); That´s unusual. I guess BaS and FPGA were not flashed at all. Perhaps files are corrupted somehow? When flashing BaS or FPGA, an alertbox should come up first (with Yes, Yes all and No ...

Re: New Firmware, FPGA Configuration and FireTOS

Hi JFL, sorry to hear about this issue  This is strange. Once loaded any system software file into FLASH_CF.PRG, flashing itself should be finished after ~20 seconds. Can you describe exactly what you have done and what happened while your first flashing attempt? I re-flashed FireTOS from EmuTO...

Re: Recording Voice with CuBase Audio

Hi, from hardware side, it depends if your Falcon audio input is modified (to "line in level") or original. If it is not modified, you can simply plug a microphone into audio in connector. If the input is modded, you need a microphone preamplifier. I don´t remember the exact settings in cubase, set ...

Re: Quarantine and un-useful project

Hi, Beware that most current Linux distributions do not support NFS v2 anymore, but it can be reenabled with "RPCNFSDOPTS="--nfs-version 2,3,4" in /etc/default/nfs-kernel-server (at least on Debian and Ubuntu). Thanks for the info, i didn´t know that v4 server can be "set back" to v2. Great! :D Latz

But in my reading the tedinfo node in gfabasic.hyp is a bit misleading here.

Anyway, thanks again!

Hi,

This is with EasyMiNT?
Perhaps at this point starting sshd (in mint.cnf), sysklogd is not started yet - This is done by init program, so better
start sshd with a script from /etc/rc.d/init.d/...

Re: CTPCI - strange behaviour with USB or Realtek card

Hi,

did you test the cards one-by-one, means Radeon+Realtek, Radeon+USB? Same behaviour?
Are the voltages on CTPCI slot board stable (with 2 or more cards mounted)?
The pop-up wongck mentioned was caused by FreeMinT, this is fixed since a few months.

Re: Alternative ZIP packers/depackers for Atari?

Hi,

lzip only makes a difference regarding its .ttps between 68k (Falcon here) and Coldfire. For other machines, try to replace
zip.ttp in folder /arc/ with the correct version for your computer from Vincent´s website.
lzip was tested only on Falcon (/CT60) and FireBee, but it should work.

But i could not find R49 in the Falcon schematics yet, so no guarantee.

Hi Pierre,

ABE, SDR and CTPCi version are displayed at boot, but not very accurate, right beside the Atari logo.
After a reboot (warm start), there are more info than at first start.
