Unfortunately not all 16 bits can be used on the Falcon030. Can't recall exactly how many bits are used.

Re: The lost art of bus accelerators...
... and so on (ironically, 'Joy' has again proven to be a nice test case for ultimate Falcon compatibility, froze by the first 3D scene ;) ... perhaps due to Blitter/CPU timings) Hm, Joy disables the Nemesis bus accelerator if present (using the IKBD commands). I think the Phantom are controlled us...

Re: Falcon 030 Microbox board
Explain why it's a shame? Is this some kind of squatters rights opinion? I think Stormy means that it's too bad he doesn't seem interested in selling any of the item's he's in possession of. 25 years have passed since Atari left the scene and if nothing has come out of this by now, I doubt that any...

Re: Falcon 030 Microbox board
You would think a person with his background would be more interested in being part of what's left of the Atari community. Seems like he was only into Atari computers for the money. Too bad he got hold of so much of what Atari left behind. Just sad!

Has anyone looked into what the cost would be to produce the poly inserts?

Beautifully written mikro!
He was obviously a very close friend and important person to you. I can feel your grief and pain.
I'm also sad that our small community has lost such an important person. May he rest in peace!
All of my sympathies are with you and his family!

Hmm, since neither @ThomasNewBeat nor @dhedberg replied I guess its safe to say that Willies Adventure is dead. Ha! Willie will never die! I asked Thomas to comment on this as I haven't worked on the game since short after the second preview was released. Thomas continued creating gra...

So which 68060 Version is the one to get for these new Accelerators? What about that, would that be the right one (if legit): https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005003118126409.html?_randl_currency=EUR&_randl_shipto=DE&src=google&aff_fcid=8cf5e4aaab714547bd007baa44d570f3-1641303949377-0738...

Re: We won!
Somehow I totally missed the MORE demo - so glad you posted to this thread because now I've gotten to see it! Will have to give it a whirl on hardware once I get my machine back again. Do love the style of your demos dhedberg, definitely have a cool factor to them :) Thanks! It makes me happy to he...
Re: We won!
A bug fix update for a 2018 dated demo, Great support! And 2 days after the release I found another pretty nasty bug due to a missing rts, but I was too lazy to fix it. It can be noticed when the 2d starfield turns 3d. The screen jumps and flickers a bit when a subroutine doesn't return but continu...

Re: External bus when using a CT60
The CT60 is an awesome upgrade as it's easy to switch back and forth between the stock 030 and the CT60. The only caveat is that it's close to impossible to source the 68060 nowadays.

Re: External bus when using a CT60
The 68060 will access the faster TT-RAM on the accelerator board using a full 32bit bus. Any access to ST-RAM on the Falcon board will still be via the 16bit bus. Only the 68060 can access the TT-RAM.

Re: CT60/CT63 will be available soon again
EC ? - no FPU LC ? - no FPU, no MMU ct6x needs MMU to relocate CT6x TOS. A lot of Falcon software, specially games, demos, mp3 needs FPU. Does not make sense to try these chips in a Falcon. Indeed, a 68060 without an FPU and/or MMU is not an option. It's awesome news that the CT60 is going to be pr...

Re: new Nova drivers
Be aware of necessary modifications to the NOVA adapter. The drivers include a folder called PATCH that describes the modification. In short: - LA21 is grounded by setting JP2 to 2-3 (only present on newer adapters from frank.lukas) - LA22 is connected to A21 (GAL pin 4) GAL and VME bus - A22 (GAL ...

The original code writes a long yes, but on the next long write it overwrites the last byte of the previous long, so it's actually not used, so Thorsten's code looks right to me.

I am currently working on Mach64 drivers for the MegaSTE......many sleepless nights and lots of frustration... :coffe: Wow! That sounds pretty awesome! Thanks! Out of curiosity, what goes into making a driver work? Is it a pure programming task or does it involve measuring hardware signals as well?...

If anyone buys one of these newly manufactured cards, please let us know. Used ones sell for about $50-$60 on ebay and I rather buy a new one for $79 or $99. Too bad the 2MB version is sold out. The Tseng Labs ET4000/W32i 1MB card is capable of 1024x768 in 256 colors, or 800x600 in 16-bit which I co...
