Re: POV 44 & 45 - Good images?
I have one parted it to include boot.prg, master.pi1, font.pi1 and master.txt into one program. What single parter are you using, is it Pampuk cos that would make it 1MB only. You could test this out by using the master sound packer I wrote, it appears on the POVCD I release in the late 90s. I have...

Re: POV 44 & 45 - Good images?
Yes they are from my original POV floppy disks, I tested POV44 on my 4MB STe and it worked, I imaged it and ran it in Steem and it threw three bombs. I will test the same image in an earlier version of Steem and see what happens. Are they disks you imaged yourself or copies you downloaded?

Re: POV 44 & 45 - Good images?
mOa I have tested a few original POV menus on real STe hardware and they all work but in Steem they throw three bombs, what are you doing to make the menus work in Steem? This appears a Steem issue rather than my bad coding.

Re: POV 44 & 45 - Good images?
Thanks for the comment. It happens to all of us. Thanks for 165 POV disks!
I have had POV166 on my hard disk for the past 20 years waiting to be completed. The menu works but I figured there was no point in completing more compilations in a world where we have the internet.

Re: POV 44 & 45 - Good images?
Removed STEEM, downloaded a new copy, sorted my TOS, downloaded the fixed POV44 and..... it works! Thanks MoA for fixing it. I tried STEEM on a different PC and it threw an error about a missing d3dx9_43.dll. To top it all, my actual STe is now crapping out using pputnik's hard disk driver :(. I app...

Re: POV 44 & 45 - Good images?
This crashes on Steem v4, TOS 1.62 and 2.06. Tried STFM and STE emulation with both 1MB and 2MB but I still get 3 bombs. Strange how my original worked back in 1990. I will find my original floppy and try in on real hardware.here's POV44 fixed using another source demo

Great piece of work, I only wish I had the time to actually write a better version than the crap I made in about 1997.

Re: Double Buffered Sample Replay Routine
Thought I would reply to this old thread
Boris wrote all the code but I remember it used a 50% compression on audio. It loads a block of data then depacks it and replays it whilst loading the next block of data. The code is all on the POV CD (v2).

Re: Some new Pure Energy and X-Static menus
9 missing menus from The Source. I have had a hell of a night getting these into MSA format. My Falcon decided it did not like the internal CF card, the external hard drives stopped being recognised. In the end I had to use my STe and my faulty Satandisk but I have checked the menus and they work. S...

Re: Some new Pure Energy and X-Static menus
Just found and imaged Pure Energy 81B (working), Brume has just put it on his site. I have also found a box full of "The Source" menus. Not sure if any work after 25 years sat on a shelf.

Best ever music is from DBA Mag 6 written by Scavenger. I stole it for POV125 menu.
