Re: hidden undocumented evntmulti within pure pascal

directive {$x} will allow functions to return with no result in pascal so your statement is partially untrue ,however u were correct about it containing the result of evntmulti its part of the type variable record "event" I don't have to assign it to anything, automatically written into because of g...

Re: hidden undocumented evntmulti within pure pascal

that would make sense , I think it was written in pure c
id still call it hidden especially if its not mentioned in the instructions or help files

so you are saying ev_mwich would be already be facilitating the events returned and I didn't need to have it assigned to the call?

Re: pascal bug? integer word val shl ? loop

clever thinking sporniket I will certainily not loose your approach ... the real reason for this segment of code was so I could mask off bits using binary format and since my pascal does not have anyway to simply write a binary number and use within the source code as a variable ive had to generate ...

Re: pascal bug? integer word val shl ? loop

yes that was the trouble and im glad to have learned the manual/help files are all entirely documented in german language so difficult to find out some instruction Program BStrLInt(x); {written in pure pascal system heidelberg} {BStrLInt=Binary STRing to Long INTeger} {decodes a string of 1's or 0's...

Re: pascal bug? integer word val shl ? loop

thanks czietz! good to know some more of the inner workings of the pascal compiller/editor I use ..... before I try here is my input why would the editor care if I shl a integer and the result is a longint? does it use the integer cell space "q"? does q become changed? (take on new value) maybe I ne...
