Re: Atari STE Blitter objects demo (new record)

Great stuff, you should make a small release / demo using it. But then people will have access to the precious code and secrets ;) I never check other people's code because I find it really time consuming to try to understand code that's not mine and I have way more fun trying to devise weird stuff ...

Re: Major Motion - different versions

In France it was published by FIL. Photo of the 3 different boxes from my collection if you are curious.

The one in the middle is the original MichTron release.

Re: Major Motion - different versions

I think that one version was the original US version (MichTron) then the other one was the European version distributed by Microdeal. "The original 1985 release only supported mouse plus some added functional keys for selecting different weapons. 1986 release added joystick support, but also larger ...

Re: Mouse issue in Steem

The problem is not there anymore on my new laptop, it's really weird. I suspect it had something to do with the touch pad on the previous one but only Steem had this issue with the mouse cursor moving on its own.

STE Blitter

Hello, I never made STE specific stuff and never got attracted to it back in the days. However with the lock-down, I have a little bit of spare time to try STE stuff, so here are a few totally newbie questions that will save me some time :D - When using the Blitter, is the CPU partially / totally un...

Mouse issue in Steem

Hello, I love STEEM but I am having a really frustrating issue (I don't remember having that issue the last time I used it ages ago): - If I disable the setting VM-friendly mouse, the mouse pointer moves on its own at regular speed until I click to make it stop - If I don't use that mode, then anyth...

Fullscreen + maxYMiser / Megatizer / Triplex / Chipmon

Hello, Does anyone have successfully integrated a replay routine from either maxYMiser, Megatizer, Triplex or Chipmon into a fullscreen? By successfully I mean that it sounds exactly the same as the original replay. I want to try a small demo project and I could use good sound in fullscreen. Thanks

Re: The Great Atari ST Game Survey 2020

Not necessarily the best ones, but probably the ones I played / enjoyed the most back then.

1. Dungeon Master
2. Populous
3. Bubble Bobble
4. Sim City
5. Lemmings

Re: Cracktro / Demo menu disk assembled to go along with my YouTube Channel!

The aspect ratio of your videos seems wrong by the way, they are stretched vertically

Update: ouch, I just realized they are in 60 Hz, the tunes are played too fast as well.

Re: Going into demo creation in 2017?

Go go! :) And do it whatever way you want as long as you have fun doing it. Real hardware, emulation or PC using cross platform development, the important part is to enjoy it. GFA basic is probably a good way to get started, it will make the learning curve less steep once you want to get started with...

Gamopat has a few annoying Amiga trolls, especially dlfrsilver who never wastes an opportunity to throw tons of sh*t at the ST.

Just ignore them.

I was pulling your leg with my last message by the way.

Just out of cursioty, who were you talking about? Chris Wilkins? I never read any of this books but I noticed the numerous kickstarters and all.
