SoundDoctor: If you would have done any kind of research you would have likely noticed that Pouet.net does not collect or store personal / personally identifiable data other than what users enter on their account pages voluntarily and can remove at any time they wish without even having to put in a ...

Re: Demozoo removals
Every request we get is evaluated similarly and individually, and we always listen to both sides of a story. If you think those are bad habits, so be it.

Re: Good bye
I find it even harder to understand why those in charge of these websites find it so important to cling on to outdated data out of principle. Uhh, but what we do is like the diametric opposite of clinging on to outdated data? Any user is welcome to suggest updates to the data on our site. Rajah in ...

Re: Good bye
The moment something is released it becomes public information. So description, screenshots and other information should be allowed to be posted and categorised by others. Couldn't have said it better myself. An argument can be made about distribution though. If the author doesn't want the software...

Re: Good bye
Yeah, it's a waste of time to ask me about Lotek's arguments indeed. I have no idea why you guys keep doing that despite the fact that Lotek's active on this forum himself.

Dbug: It's not so much that I'm not willing to share but rather that I'm aware that when I would do that the next predictable step is that people will start calling me out on those arguments and I wouldn't have any real answers because they're not my own arguments and Lotek chooses not to elaborate ...

Dbug: Sorry, I only speak for myself, maybe Lotek is willing to explain his arguments once again when asked nicely, or maybe not, that's upto him really. mikro: Give him back what account? Rajah's Pouet account is not limited in any way as far as I'm aware, I read that he claimed that his Demozoo ac...

Re: Good bye
wongck: Affirmative, the only single one of Rajah's apps that we carry as far as I'm aware is the tarot card reader. And Rajah could indeed remove or otherwise maim the downloads on his site, but Lotek's archive would still contain an older unmaimed version and that's rather likely to be suggested a...

Symoon: None of Rajah's software is on our site, we merely link to the file Rajah published on his own site, as per his request that we granted. It's upto him to decide if he wants to manually update download links, or (as I would recommend) create a "latest version" download, or whatever other solu...

AdamK: Lotek can do that if he so wishes, it's not my call really. People could also look up what part of those replies already part of public record, it's not so hard to find. Daniel, Dbug: So tell me please, what exactly is a "demoscene production" or "demoscene stuff" or as Rajah liked to put it ...

Re: Good bye
So what you're suggesting is that despite the fact that after reviewing all available information and arguments from both sides years ago, and coming to the conclusion that Lotek's argument, albeit perhaps not perfect, is clearly the more valid of the two, then granting Rajah's edit requests so the ...

Re: Good bye
I'd like to reply to some of your remarks which appear to be incorrect or misleading. I'm not going to address Rajah directly because Lotek has already addressed his concerns sufficiently in the past, I thought the arguments that Lotek raised in his reply to Rajah were consistent and solid, and the ...

Re: Demozoo removals
Thanks for those nice words spoken behind my back! A more verbose version of my statement would be: "Not being in the "demoscene domain" (whatever that means exactly) in and of itself is not a reason for a prod to be deleted from Pouet.net." But I figured you, as an obviously skilled programmer, wou...

Re: Outline presents: Atari Scene Awards 2010
A webform would be possible, but then it's much harder to prevent "fraud". And the current voting process really isn't that complicated to begin with, imho- just write the 3 prods from 2010 you liked best, and send it, that's all. I seriously doubt a webpage with the ~70 prods that have been release...

Re: Outline presents: Atari Scene Awards 2010
One week left for Atari Scene Awards voting! Two weeks ago, the Atari Scene Awards were announced on this site. Since then, we have received many positive comments, and a few less votes. To give the Awards credibility, we feel it is important to involve as many people as possible through the voting ...

you did not actually read the page before posting your PROPER link (typical)
if this prod is a fake, some info is false or the download link is broken,
do not post about it in the comments, it will get lost.
instead, email or post about it.

Re: Firebee (ACP) - Let's make it a REAL success!
Would be nice to see it doing some real world stuff. Maybe a DTP application manipulating graphics or some game or ?? Sure, it would be nice to see that. But realistically speaking, it's just not going to happen. Just look at the amount of apps and games developed specifically for accelerated Atari...

Re: Turrican - Special Edition
Funny to see that my prediction on a realistic timeframe for the release of this project (which were once upon a time considered controversial enough to be deleted \o/) have come true now... So what's next? Hold hands, sing kumbaya, and pray for something resembling a release before the second lustr...
