Seeking a couple of Dave Munsie games

Postby Goldrunner » Sun Sep 12, 2004 2:17 am

I have added 11 Dave Munsie games to GamebaseST over the last fews days but still require 2 more. Both were released as L.A.P.D shareware but I have not found FULL versions of either only the limited sharware versions that you need to register. The games are:

Berzerk
Asteroidia (sorry, I know this one has been requested before)

To my knowledge Dave Munsie coded 13 games for the Atari ST, if anybody knows of any more then please let me know. The Munsie games I know (not including the previous two) are:

Bobbles!
Bugs
Dark Pearl
Evader
Frantick
Frogger
Kaboom
Kid GP
Kid Kong
Square Off
ST Invaders

Berzerk can be found on STAX Compact Disc 73:

Asteroidia can be found on STAX Compact Disc 101:

Many thanks lotek_style!

However i already have these two, i was hoping someone may have the FULL registered versions of the games so that the Dave Munsie section in GBST can be truly complete!

Thanks for the link Champions_2002 :D It was nice hearing from Dave Munsie himself, however non of the links in the thread led me to the games I am seeking and the thread is over a year old, so it looks like he has vanished again from the ST scene.

Dave Munsie also said in the thread he released Deluxe Invaders for the Atari ST, this is another one I can't seem to find. Again any help on this game would be very welcome.

Hi cb

Many thanks for the information on the Dave Munsie compilation, i have now added that also to GamebaseST.

Don't recall 100% but did Dave Munsie release these games on ST Review magazine as full versions? Might be worth looking at those cover disks if he did...

As I say I'm not 100% if they were the full games - indeed they may have been special versions for STR - but maybe worth a look?

Asteroidia - I coded an updated PC version (old school 2D) earlier this year. :)
Berzerk
Bobbles! (before game engine)
Bugs
Choplifter (70% done !@#$%^)
Dark Pearl
Deluxe Invaders
Evader
Frantick
Frogger
Kaboom
Kid GP
Kid Kong
Sea Wolf
Square Off
ST Invaders

There may be a few more but I've just finished a massive coding session and I'm ready to ZZzzz. :) All these games are on my Mega STe's hard drive. I see alot of users still don't have access to the full versions of SquareOff, Frantick. I need to spend one weekend and get everything released once and for all! :) I WILL GET THIS DONE..eventually..honest..really! lol...

Glad to see you on board Dave :D
Once it's done, we'd be very happy to put all your games on Atari Legend (with your permission, of course).
Cheers,
Brume.

Reactivating old thread :) I managed to get all (?) the released games by Dave http://demozoo.org/sceners/44198/

except:

ST INVADERS

The game is on the "best-of" compile but I'd like to have a stand alone version.

This may be the registered version of Asteroidia from the link http://cd.textfiles.com/cavebbsfiles/OTHER/ under the file astroi.lzh but I can't find a program to decompress properly.

Can someone extract it and check if it is the shareware or registered version?

*Edit* Looks like it's the shareware version. :( Did anyone ever find a registered version of this game?

It's the shareware version. 7Zip can extract it.
