Hi Jean, Under TOS I can set to 2,16,256,65356,16 M. I set 16M, Kronos shows 1920x1080x32 bits and when I ran Vision I see above screen. For test I can test on my other machine, like Hades or TT with video card. I will be infor you. Thanks Kroll
well in 32bit modes, first time I see this, probably the pixel organization is not RGBA or ABGR or similar. I need to debug but does not seem easy without a Radeon video card. I could add some debug traces in vision .log to understand more; would you be able to send vision.log back to me? We should do this via private messages, no need to spam people in there
Hi Jeans, You are right I send you vision.log in private meesege, but here I would like inform all, that I tested on Hades and TT, there are ATI Mach 64 video card and what is interesting on 24 bits and 32 bits, the icons are visible correctly, both. It is mean the problem is with Radeon card.
thanks for vision.log, I confirm resolution is set to 32bit (not 24). So it should work. Maybe the issue is not around the card itself because it works for other bitplanes but more on the driver for Radeon in 32bit resolutions. All other painting/viewing programs (zView, smurf, photoline,...) working OK with it? If yes, this is probably because VISION is not able to detect pixel organization--> I will need you to help me debug this using vision.log If no, see if there is a driver update for your Radeon card
I checked ZView, Photoline, Pixart are working OK, only I have the problem with Smurf, It is crash during loading the picture. But I think there is another porblem. I dont know. I think, that I used the latest version of driver, TOS driver 1.02 (I use additonal network and USB card on my falcon) Of course if you needed some helps please contact with me
OK then it is most likely to be VISION not properly detecting screen organization; I'll send you a version in the coming days which produces some debug traces on that process for me to investigate. If there is something to do in a reasonable amount of time to fix this, I'll do.
Vision seems to work fine with latest EmuTOS, except on Falcon. On Falcon none of the popup menus work, they just give AES error dialog.
It seems that Vision assumes Falcon to have AES version with new menu functions, without actually checking the available AES version. Maybe Vision could check AES version instead of machine type?
Vision has also few issues with ST resolutions, also when using original TOS: * Icons aren't drawn correctly in ST-med resolution -> maybe Vision could show error about unsupported bit-depth instead? * info bubbles aren't drawn correctly in ST-high resolution
