using another drive

I am using Hatari 1.6.2 and i have some st files on a dvd disc and when i try to load them in to Hatari i cannot get to see the drive i only get the directory where Hatari is and my c drive, but my dvd rom drive is on d drive, how fo i get to use another drive letter ?

Symlink it under C: drive directory, or create an empty directory where you link your other directories with partition letters. In latter case each of them will be a separate GEMDOS HD emulation partition.

Hatari supports one Gemdos drive only.
Maybe you could see what is on your DVD if:
1) DVD is in drive and mounted.
2) Point Gemdos Drive at DVD (D:)

To see C: drive again, you will have to point Hatari at it again.

(Disclaimer: I'm a linux user and I have not tried this on linux)

Not true, Hatari GEMDOS emulation supports as many partitions as TOS itself. For more information, see the manual:

My previous post was almost simultaneous with Eero's, thus I didn't see it until too late.
However, my meaning of 'Gemdos drive' was what you get when you press F12 in Hatari
to get: HATARI main menu > Hard disks > GEMDOS drive:
where you then select One file folder.
