Nicky Boom Amiga Ripp!

Postby M.A.F » Fri Nov 21, 2003 12:44 am

Just wanted to say thanks for allowing me to find(at last) the original version of Nicky Boom from the Amiga(Song 1),in MOD format instead of Lha.

i havent heard the original version since 1994 i think! :) and i remixed this in 1999 from the main melody into a dance tune.So with the help of the excellent Fading Twilight lists and Winamp ive actually heard it again! Just made me realise my version is slighty off the original key though .

My remix is available at http://amigaremix.com if you care to find it,and let me know what you think!:)

Sorry to mention Amiga on an Atari forum so please accept my apology.

And again many thanks.....maybe ill find some inspiration from the Atari scene now:)

M.A.F (Michael Ferguson)

I wonder if you have your other game musics lying around somewhere?

Funny you should ask that!

I was sitting at home the other day, eating a packet of Hula Hoops, when I clumsily dropped one of them down the side of the couch I was sitting on (really annoying that).

I reached down to pick up the escaped 'Hula...and guess what I found down there?

OK, so there are several "MAF" persons actually.

Maf (/ Silicon) : Benoît Charcosset http://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?view= ... =interview
M.A.F : Michael Ferguson http://www.remix64.com/member/m.a.f/

Because i was thinking: "Hey, Hula Hoops snacks aren't available in France, how could Maf eat some of those?" ;)

Anyblah, more M.A.F. music ad remixes here : http://archive.org/search.php?query=M.A ... urce_audio (produced on Amiga according to his remix64 page)

OK....you caught me by the Hula Hoops.. 8O

I am Michael Ferguson (M.A.F) off of remix64.com,haven't posted on there for years either actually.

I started to upload my tunes and remixes up at archive.org in 2007,there are original Amiga modules I did up there,as well as some Amiga,C64 and even Spectrum 128 game tune remixes I did,all done on an Amiga, some done just using the Paula chip, and many more using the Paula chip and a Midi interface to trigger all of those lovely synths and drum machines I used to own.

I sold most of them in 2004.....and man,I've regretted it ever since, wish I had kept everything :(
