Fast BASIC Assembler

Hi,

I've got FaST BASIC running on an emulated ST within a Linux environment

I want to learn 68000 assembly language, and so want to use the in-line assembler that comes with FaST BASIC

Trouble is, I've mislaid the f**king manual! Does anyone remember how to invoke the inline assembler please?

i got one considering anything you need conveyed will just be typed ..no images!!!

it is a tiny little manual though..so its fast baasic ,

If you don't want to have to register on atari-active.com to download the file you can change the atari-active part in the address for atari-forum as they are both the same website.

Just an observation, but I think one has to be registered to post, therefore the original poster is registered.

Someone mentioned having the manual in other threads, but I know it's a lot of work. Has there been any progress in getting the full manual scanned?

Yes you're right. What I meant to say (but stuffed it right up) was that as atari-active is a different url, the cookie domain is different so you won't be logged in there. Easy to solve though. Just log in at atari-active.com with same username and pass as here.

Xera says its a completeily separate program from the basic , which allows asm

How is switching assembler packages going to solve the fact that you suck at assembler? I like to ask the hard questions because its exactly what everyone else is thinking when they see this thread.

this fast basic with assembler built in is a perfect learning tool , you can build a program in basic
and slowily exchange the perts in the same source file with the assembler parts ,, and the registers are acknoledge as variables in the basic part and vice versa the basic variables can be used in the asm part

no stopping programs , writing asm parts , stopping asm ,going back to basic
that sux
then returning to gfa

to have the whole thing crash

us minors got it hard!
not all of us learned on the 6502 8 bit machine did we now?
or in asm way back then .

fast basic is decent, maybe the fast assembler is hard to find or something...
like true basic
or real basic , etc etc

I was not referring to the BASIC. You appeared to be referring to some old stand alone assembler released by the same company. I seen it once on ebay a long time ago. See photo:

Just stick with devpac, its the most current.

As for 6502, its a lot different and not really helpful when moving to 68k assembler in my opinion.

As for Fast BASIC, cool features aside, at the end of the day its useless without a compiler.

let me kow if you see it on ebay again , i won't pay much , since i have the complete fast basic , i might as well get the fast asm too!

Seems rather off topic, but yes I several in my user control panel, but this forum won't let you see another users friends list far as I can tell.

No one seems to have this assembler handy, that should tell you something. One would hope anyway.

Also ebay can inform you when items are posted for sale. Go to ebay and learn how to use it.

Nice to know that a small humble software producer in the early 80s was able to survive this long.

its fasst
and slow to write

like the fact the asm is right there with the basic
in pure dialect too!

but its not fast asm , its fast basic

Software from Computer Concepts days are no longer for sale.
They would have been last available around twenty years ago.

my initial request was where a user could obtain a copy for personal use.
and they thought i only wanted to buy a copy.
is there an alternate method to softaware solace?
