Cricket Captain

Postby jimmyca69 » Mon Mar 03, 2003 4:32 pm

Does anybody have the original disk of cricket captain? i have downloaded the automation disk 360 copy but that appears to be either corrupt or not compatible. (see my other post in the general forum)

Also does anyone know of any other copies of cricket captain available other than the automation disk 360 one?

thanx in advance.

Let me have a look when I get in ..
My main site: http://www.mug-uk.co.uk - slowly digging up the bits from my past (and re-working a few): Atari ST, Sega 8-bit (game hacks) and NDS (Music ripping guide).

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

Here you go .. took all the files off a working A360 and made a bootable disk with just Cricket Captain on it.

I've only play tested it as far as starting the first match - well, as far as picking the next player .. if I was you I'd take a screen snapshot of Vapours information he gives on the intro and keep it handy as a picture on your desktop :)

So it sounds like the dongle code was not fully removed .. one for SHW or CJ to take a proper look at maybe?

The original is in the post before yours? It's a PASTI original - but as yet there's still going to be a dongle check inside it.

Someone will need to re-crack this (if needed) to remove the dongle-check.

I'll take a look tonight and see if it's still in there etc.

Beast ...

Did you get a dongle with your original to plug in somewhere?

As soon as I start a match it dies on me with 6 bombs?

So it'll need some AL work doing to it before it'll work without it :)

What's the big deal with Cricket Captain? Is it really that good? Have none been on eBay in two years?

I can;t see it being any better than 'Just Not Cricket' anyway.

International Cricket was 'quite' good? A ST User coverdisk?
How about a 'Brian Lara Cricket' from the Plastic Station St and Falcon appeal? :o:

Never heard of this one. . . was it a 'footballer of the year' type or Premier Manager?? (and yes I know those are footy games!)

Thanks

It holds a special place in my heart :D

My favourite ST game and just wanted to play it again - searched for ebay etc and no joy. Not many people felt like me and liked the game obviously! hence the lack of availability.
