Droid 2!

Postby Sauron » Sun Jun 06, 2004 7:30 am

Droid 2 is finally available! Miles Lord just sent me the link to his website, which he just recently started. He's got just about everything he made for the ST on there, including a map editor for the original Droid! I had never heard of another game, Hoog, until he mentioned it to me, which is also highly regarded. Link is below:

Be sure to let him know what you think of his games!

Sleeeek! DOwnloading right now...

Had no idea about Hoog either, but it certainly looks sweet. Gee, what a pleasure seeing new stuff popping up... =)

Cheers
Gryzor

PS Ah rats, only the shareware version of Hoog is available?? What's the point since you can't buy it?

Take a look at http://www.lordandlord.co.uk/spiralmile/s_hoog.htm

Looks a cutesy little platform game - the kinda ones I was (shamefully) addicted too when I was younger - I blame it all on my fun with Dizzy on the Speccy though lol

if you check out my website...

http://shack.atari.org

you'll find another one of his games there, check in the download
section (ST section/ Spiral Mile games) there is another one called 'graveyard'
copy the contents of the zip onto floppy disk to get it to work properly.

played hoog ages ago, cool game can't wait for the full release

:D

I have Graveyard also, Miles had sent it to me along with Droid 2 and Hoog. He warned me that it didn't turn out too great, but playing it showed that while it felt incomplete, the gameplay certainly had a lot of potential.

Whoosh! May this thread rise from its grave.

As this thread is 8 years old, it's understandable that the link is dead. Does anyone have a copy of Droid 2 or know where to get it? There's some recent talk about the original game here and it would be nice to see the sequel: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/20 ... try2606917

Don't know http://archive.org? That's always my first try when a link appears to be dead. It is all there: http://web.archive.org/web/20060101205248/http://www.lordandlord.co.uk/spiralmileretro/droidii/s_droidii.htm.

Just came back here after seeing the thread on AA about this. It's a shame that his website is no longer up, but glad it's still accessible through archive.org. I had lost the disk images a while back, so I'm quite happy to have them again!

Miles had emailed me about Droid out of the blue back when I first created this thread. I exchanged a few emails with him but lost touch, and his email address no longer works. If he ends up running into this again, would love to see if he still has the source and the map editor for Droid.
