Sim Earth on ST?

Postby Marchocias » Wed Oct 10, 2007 8:43 pm

I seem to remember having a copy of Sim Earth on ST back in the day. I couldn't work out what was happening and quickly gave up on it.

I decided to go back and give it another go, only to discover that it doesn't seem to exist! I don't have it in my TOSEC folder, there's no mention on Atari Legend and ST Detective only mentions a couple of doc disks.

Does it actually exist? Or did I somehow play it on Amiga and my memory is bad?

As far as I can remember to the dim & distant days, if there was a Sim Earth it was on the Amiga & possibly the PC?

MobyGames reckons that there was an ST version but there's no cover artwork or screenshots to back it up.

I develop a free Word (for Windows) add-in that's available for Word 2007 upwards. It's a fix-it toolbox that will allow power Word users to fix document errors. You can find it at: http://www.mikestoolbox.co.uk

I'm pretty certain this was another of those promised for ages and then cancelled releases.

it needs a machine with 68020 or 030 and a highres monitor in 16/32 colors.

Oh well, seems I must have played it on Amiga. And my memory is going!

Maybe you are thinking of Sim City which was released on Atari platform?

No, it was definitely Sim Earth. I remember the Earth with a face on it, whose expression showed how well you were doing.

Not true, there was a PC version as well. It's sitting right in front of me. Pretty weird game, too...
