If you have SV does that mean your falcon can't display game visuals? Does the SV pass everything through? Or do you need a monitor switch box to hook up both graphics outputs?

Good question, I always kind of thought it went through the same rgb output, does it not?

The SV snoops and replicates the VIDEL framebuffer, yes.

I asked a few months ago. They aren't interested in making any more but have given Willy their blessing. He's very busy so not sure he will have time soon... It will be worth getting an update from Willy.

That was my understanding, that Willy had gotten the plans for them, and was planning on making them after the CT60e upgrades were all out the door.

At least as a interim, I've got one of the new BlowUPs on the way. But still would love a SuperVidel.

Will do! Some of my setup is still roken, just haven't had the time to fix it. But holy crap, everything is so fast on an 060. I still have it clocked to 66MHz too.

Guys, I'm selling my brand new, never used SuperVidel. It's posted in
the "For sale/Wanted" forum.

Good luck.

Runs great on the CT60e. I still need to get it to work with MiNT, seems you have to launch it after xaaes though.

As a SuperVidel just hit $810 on eBay I would say there is a market for new units. I know I would buy one immediately if I could.

Well, inevitably there is a market for new units, since the CT60e is out and about. I was asking in another thread how many CTxx were sold vs how many SuperVidels. They really should have been equal.

Ironic. Very.

Yeah, it happened with Jookie's HW as well -- first it seemed he is going to LOSE money on the UltraSatan's first batch and in the end there is enough customers to keep Lotharek's production to this very day. Not to mentioned the CosmosEx, a lot of returns, failed expectations etc. and now it's one of the most sought devices. Atari customers are as unpredictable as any other. ;)

I'd say there is still a market for CT60's too.

I still need to get around to figuring out how to get the CosmosEx inside my Falcon or other systems without making it look like some weird monstrosity.

I wish people would support the actual developers first. Nothing wrong with people who produce the hardware in question later on - quite the contrary - but the sacrifice made by developers are huge in comparison. Developers have to make prototypes, buy equipment and fail a couple of times. In the end, they never earn anything even remotely comparable to the workload involved, and people reward them by whining about how expensive the product is compared to big volume PC components.

If a new run of supervidel was made, either by nature or by a third party, then I would be on the list to buy one immediately. No doubt there are a load of fresh ct60e owners who would be similarly interested.

I emailed nature and they said that Willy asked permission to make new ones and they gave the thumbs up. So I guess we can be hopeful.
