Thx for those explanations, I see the problem now.
If i just don't unlock the tracks, the game loads, maybe it's simpler so. So capsimg dll and not Steem is housekeeping the random seeds and it will unlock all the tracks at once I guess, best of two worlds.
Mercifully the loader is very slow, as the chiptunes and the title screen are the best aspects of this game.

I use CAPSLockImageMemory in Hatari to load the whole IPF/CTR in one go, and never had any problem with this.

Memory print will not be that high (for IPF, it's often less than STX where tracks and sectors are all dumped), and as IFW told, you get seamless access in case a game needs to load a lot of tracks for realtime audio/video and your PC doesn't respond fast enough.

Quick question for IFW on CTR
With dtc it is possible to create ctr from raw stream but of course the reverse is not possible :(

There is no guarantee on how the CTR file was made in the first place, so while this is possible, it's not supported.

ctr is device independent? so would not be possible to get back to device dependent format like draft?

I wouldn't want to convert JPG to PNG ;)
