So I changed my mind again: those features will be included in tomorrow's release, you lucky boys.

Presented here:

It's because I have really great ambitions for v4.0, and it could take a while to fulfil them.

Oh Great! For anyone who worked with Mono resolution progs that extra workspace provided by Overscan was really handy.
Can't wait to try it out. Thanks

Steem SSE 3.9.3 has been released on 30/09/2017.

v3.9.3 Features
_________________

- Record to YM file.

- 'Advanced Settings' option (D3D). When unchecked, other options
are simplified.

- New Option General/Mute sound when inactive.

- Notice: 'Macros' option page renamed 'Record Input'.

- When running a new version for the first time (based on existing ini if
any), you get dialogs prompting you for a shortcut, home directories, etc.
This is to give you a chance to update the link in the Start Menu, but it's
optional and you may skip the rest too.

v3.9.3 Emulation improvements
_______________________________

- Anti-aliasing filter for YM2149 emu (option 'C2').
This improves the sound with all sample rates, at the cost of some CPU use
(Star Trek).
Thx Mike Perkins for the C++ class.

- Hardware Hacks:
Support for Freeboot (disk side selector).
Support for STF hardware overscan (LaceScan and Autoswitch).
Support for STE YM/DMA sound mix fix, useful for Petari's little games ;)

- STE paddles (thx Petari).

v3.9.3 Bugfixes / Refactoring
_______________________________

- Blitter start test (Great Giana Sisters STE).

- 6301/ACIA emulation (Warp STX).

- Removing some hacks in GLU/Shifter emulation.

- Floppy drive emulation at fast speed (no snails) is more compatible (Exile,
Super Hang-On, Lost Patrol, ...).

- Multiple screens can have negative coordinates (D3D).

- Fire button of STE joysticks.

- Missing macro in OR.W Dn,<ea> (D-Bug 117).

- WD1772: Wrong status after command $D0 (Rogue SCP).
Trouble at Index Pulse (some dumps of Gunship SCP).

- Lost on ST disks with <9 sectors (Wipe-Out-RPL, broken v3.9.0)

- Black borders in monochrome mode (bug since the origins!)
With borders, the screen isn't centred anymore, sorry about that, but
centring caused timing problems. It is correct emulation.

- Removed "multimedia" joystick support as it can cause crashes on some
systems, only DirectInput is used now.

- Record Input and Paste Text with option 'C1'.

- Messed display when coming back from optional 16bit Fullscreen.

- Slow Motion (broken v3.8.2).

- Possible crash when loading a profile.

Hello Steven, Something has been broken, Sleepwalker is not running anymore in STE 1Mb TOS 1.62 with Steem 3.9.3. The STX avail on Atarimania just stop on HALT.

Can you have a look please on this problem ?

Looks like the issue with Sleepwalker might be Pasti and not Steem. I switched back to 0.2j version of pasti and Sleepwalker disk 1 loads fine. With Pasti 0.3a1 version I get a HALT in Steem 3.9.3.

UPDATE: Seems to have been fixed with the latest Pasti.dll version 0.3a2 available:

it does not, the STX version of sleepwalker is still not working. I get still a HALT, even with the latest pasti file 0.3a2 + Steem 3.9.3

My mouse is going wonky in this new Steem release. All jittery moving in opposite directions like it's drunk lol in the emulation window. Works fine on 3.8.0.

No, it works fine with the latest pasti 0.3a2 file + Steem SSE 3.9.3 !(at least on my configuration)

Dev builds of v3.9.4 with bugfixes are available at sourceforge. Due to some embarrassing bugs, the release is planned soon.

There is still problem with:
- FDC change behaviour on new command while spinning up (Froggies Over The Fence)

Note: After the disk II 4096 pics, it ask for disk I and after loading it refuse to return into menu! (black screen)

It's a long-standing Steem bug. I'll fix it but please put your bug reports in the support section.

It was not a bug report but just an attempt of rescuing from a new embarrassing bug!

Last betas just uploaded, get ready for the Halloween release, just one month after v3.9.3, this tight planning because of some annoying bugs as usual. :)

Too many bugs were found and fixed even today for a release (un)fortunately. Maybe next week. :)

Instead, new 'dev builds' are available.

Some more bugs were fixed, new beta builds are available here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/steemsse/files/DevBuilds/

If there are no new bugs, it could be released at the end of the month.

After that, it will be a while until the next version because we're already at v3.9.4, and if you look at release history, there's no higher last digit than 4, so let's keep this good habit.
