An introduction to MSX BASIC

Postby MrPixel » Sat Feb 24, 2018 6:34 pm

is there a programmers reference manual available. if so, where?

i'm using FMSX...and the PSET command is refusing to work. as is Line and the others.

Color and print as well as input still work. strange

I haven't used msx basic for some time but you may not be in correct screen mode? You need screen 2 IIRC.

You may be better hunting on https://www.msx.org.

i'm trying to make a game using the on, input and goto commands. something simple, like colossal cave

Code:
10 input n (or choice or whatever)
20 on n(a$) goto 30
30 print "you see some flowers (or welcome to Colossal cave MSX or something)
40 (input command here)

i keep getting a redo from start. it's annoying

Try posting the actual code instead. Or even better, ask on msx.org, they have a great forum and a lot more MSX knowledge than most people here.
